During my recent visit to Saarangaa Bhojan Shala in Bur Dubai's Al Mankhool area, I discovered the best pure vegetarian restaurant in town. Throughout our five-day stay in Dubai, my companions and I ordered dinner from this place every day, and we were consistently impressed with the taste and quality of the food.
We opted for the South Indian thali for dinner, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. One full rice thali was more than sufficient for two people, and it even came with two chapatis as well. The thali included a variety of flavorful dishes, such as sambar, rasam, vegetable curries, and more. The taste was authentic and truly satisfying.
What added to the convenience was that the food was delivered directly to our hotel room at Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah. The fact that they offered free delivery and allowed payment at the time of delivery made the whole experience even more convenient for us.
We were also informed that on Sunday mornings, Saarangaa Bhojan Shala offers an unlimited buffet breakfast with over 15 items. Although we missed out on experiencing it this time, we were assured that we shouldn't miss it on our next visit to Dubai.
In terms of service and convenience, Saarangaa Bhojan Shala excelled. The staff was prompt and friendly, ensuring that our orders were delivered on time. The option to have our meals delivered to our hotel room made our dining experience hassle-free and enjoyable.
In conclusion, Saarangaa Bhojan Shala in Bur Dubai's Al Mankhool area is undoubtedly the best pure vegetarian restaurant in Dubai. The South Indian thali we ordered for dinner was delicious and filling, while the free delivery and pay-at-delivery option added to the overall convenience. Although we missed the opportunity to try their buffet breakfast this time, we look forward to enjoying it on...
Read moreI’m a regular here on weekends because my son (special needs child) is a vegetarian. I dined yesterday for dinner. When I entered, I wanted to sit in a quiet place. The waiter told me I cannot sit in the right side (which was completely empty), saying restaurant is not busy! I didn’t understand the logic behind that, if the restaurant is empty, they should allow customers to sit wherever they want! These waiters do not want to serve in that area and wanted all customers to sit in one area enabling them to compliment their lazy attitude in serving customers. What’s wrong with them if a customer sit in any area of the restaurant? I spoke to a waiter wearing pink shirt, finally he agreed when I was about to leave the restaurant. Later on I noticed another family sitting beside us and these waiters didn’t ask them to sit in the crowded area! Two weeks back, I went there with my relatives from Kerala, the service was disaster. I had to wait for more than 30 minutes for 3 chole batura. They brought the batura one by one with an interval of 10 minutes. Shameless staff, including their manager wearing a safari suit, they didn’t even apologize! They were saying they were busy due to buffet! I understand, in that case why are they open for a la Carte orders? This is certainly not the right way to treat any customers! I have no complaints about their food but these service staff will spoil the reputation of this restaurant with their terrible attitude. Some business learn the hard way and subside. I don’t think I’ll visit them again! If their management is focused on their business, they should read this review and take action against...
Read moreI simply can't withhold my fondness for Saarangaa Bhojan Shala, one of the premier spots for South Indian grub that satisfies my taste buds at any time - breakfast to dinner or even a mid-day snack.
They've got a sweet location at SB mankhool, surrounded by plenty of paid parking, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious, fitting about 150 guests. There's also a separate room if you fancy throwing a party.
The selections are quite varied. They've got everything from fresh juices to Indian sweets. Last time we went, we ordered a beetroot and green apple mix juice and the breakfast tiffin. Absolutely top notch! It had upma, mini idlies, vada, masala dosa, sambhar, coconut chutney, garlic tomato chutney, sweet kesri halwa, and a solid filter coffee to finish off the meal 😋.
The food was excellent and it didn't take long to reach the table. They were pretty generous with portions too and they didn't hesitate to top up our sambhar and chutneys.
On the weekends, they do a buffet but it gets pretty crowded, so I'd stick to the weekdays.
They also do Chinese and North Indian dishes if you fancy a change. I'd strongly recommend popping in to Saarangaa Bhojan Shala if you'd like top quality food, but don't fancy breaking...
