We’ve spent the last few nights at this hotel while attending Arab Health, and it’s been a surprisingly refreshing experience. This isn’t your typical over-the-top luxury hotel that Dubai is famous for, but that’s exactly what makes it stand out. It’s clean, fresh, vibrant, and designed with a youthful, energetic vibe that’s both enjoyable and full of thoughtful services, rivaling some of the best hotels in the region. The first thing you notice is the bold aesthetic - huge murals, playful colors, and street art that give the space a dynamic, urban feel. It’s clearly aimed at a younger, tech-savvy, self-aware crowd. And if you’re in the mood for some casual fun, table tennis and 8-ball pool are just a simple request away (and yes, it’s free). This kind of "active hospitality" is a breath of fresh air, especially when compared to the more laid-back, traditional luxury hotels designed for guests who prefer to do as little as possible. What really impressed me was the hotel’s efficiency and level of service. The staff are friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful, making the stay smooth and hassle-free. The location is another big plus - conveniently close to the World Trade Center and Dubai Convention Center, which was perfect for our conference schedule. The breakfast buffet? Solid. It’s not dripping in luxury, but it’s complete, satisfying, and offers enough variety to start your day right. In short, Aloft Hotel is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a modern, lively, and efficient place to stay in Dubai. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in town - and that’s exactly why it works.

STAY AWAY! we stayed there 4 families during xmas. 2 of us are platinum with marriott and have stayed in several different Alofts in the past. This hotel is poorly run: 1. there is a mosque right next to the hotel. this means every day at 5am we all woken up to the loud sounds of the morning prayers. I understand this is a muslim country but they should have at least mentioned the noise on the web sites or in the "what to expect" email. 2. there is a rooftop restaurant/bar in the building, that is not part of the hotel. The loud music from the rooftop continued daily until 2am. countless calls to the reception did nothing to change that. 3. the rooms were filthy, and everything smells of cigarettes. even in non smoking floors/rooms. 4. they were cheap on towels. we always had to call in for towels. one time they just told us they don't have towels and sent us a box of tissue paper.. 5. we get back late one night only to find out there's no water. a note was left under the door letting us know about the overnight maintenances. too bad it was announced a few hours earlier while we were away. after that night the water coming out the faucets was dirty. we were hesitant to use the shower. 6. breakfast was not good, compared to other marriotts. the food was bland and the variety was slim at best. When presented all this to the manager on duty (jyotika). All we got in response was "I'm really sorry". The hotel really needs to fix its management and service problems. I plan to convey the same to marriott. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. we were sleep deprived during our entire stay.

Reaspected Sir/Madam We were waiting since long for the survey form that we were promised during our stay at your renowned Hotel Aloft Al Mina, Dubai but since we didn’t get any so we thought to drop in a mail for we earnestly wished to share our feedback.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days stay at your beautiful hotel. The ambience and the feel around the hotel did not make us feel any less and we were in awe of the same. Kudos! to the way it has been maintained by the management.

The people in the restaurant were extremely kind and ever so smiling. More than food, you love the way you are served and tend to eat more when you see smiles around. Catering to so many people each day did not become hinderance in the way so many of them remembered what we loved to eat and how did we like the preparation. All the people in the restaurant seemed to be genuine and concerned about our whereabouts and how did we find things around. It’s rare and difficult to find such wisdom these days. It was a pleasure being around each one!

However on the last day, we felt extremely agitated and sad with the way we were treated at the time of our departure. It did not seem that it was at all a pleasure for the people around to serve us. Ms Jyotika (front desk) was extremely rude and insensitive towards the fact that we had to leave for the airport since our driver was waiting downstairs and we 2 girls needed help with our luggage. The person collecting the luggage was extremely kind towards us but was really scared that he won’t be able to take it down unless commanded. The lady continued to argue over the phone call that the hotel does not provide this service. However, we were taken by a surprise as this service was provided to us when we checked in the hotel. One question that kept bugging us was that the service only till the time we have our extended stay in your hotel or is it supposed to help us end this journey much better than this? Ms Sarah instead, was extremely understanding and concerned towards the issue shared with her on day 2 and that was that Ms Jyotika continued to promise us a room with a better view but one of us had to keep running after her to make her understand that the stay was not for 2 days but 6 days so it would not be difficult to make such an accommodation. Ms Sarah immediately looked into the matter and our room was changed in the blink of an eye. It made us feel that it was possible and it is upon a person whose willing to do the work.

Lastly, we observed that the room cleaner was filling both the dispensers (shampoo and bubble body bath) with the same liquid. When questioned that what is the purpose of putting the 2 separately, he stood surprised and shared that he is the one doing the work addressed by the higher authorities. It seemed that a reputed hotel such as yours is not at all expected to exhibit such kind of behaviour.

Really expected better behaviour from someone whose the face of the hotel. Would love to return to your property for a stay again but really wished to bring things to your notice.

Thanking you in anticipation of a kind...

I am writing to share a deeply disappointing experience that completely ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable trip with friends. This was our first time staying at this hotel, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a regrettable decision.||From the moment we arrived, there was no assistance or guidance provided. We were left searching for the reception area, which was not clearly marked or staffed in a welcoming manner. There were no greetings, no anticipatory service, and not a single staff member showed basic hospitality upon our arrival.||We were eventually approached by a staff member named Shin, who appeared to be a trainee. While we understand that everyone has to start somewhere, it was evident that he lacked the confidence and training necessary to interact with guests effectively. More concerning was that he seemed powerless to assist with even a simple request for a late checkout. He also refused to connect us with a manager and instead pointed to a woman behind him, claiming she was the shift leader.||Unfortunately, the shift leader’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. She lacked basic customer service etiquette — no greeting, no empathy, and a blunt refusal of our late checkout request without any attempt to offer alternatives or explanations. It was especially disappointing considering we had checked in quite late and were visibly tired. Even basic gestures such as offering water or a seat were neglected.||When we inquired about cancelling the remainder of our booking due to this poor experience, we were again met with resistance. Both Shin and the shift leader informed us that cancellation was chargeable, despite the fact that we had booked a flexible rate.||To say this experience was below expectations would be an understatement. There was a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and guest care — far removed from what one would expect from a Marriott property. What made the situation even more frustrating was the absence of any manager willing to speak with us directly to address our concerns.||We ultimately chose to cancel the remainder of our trip, and we will not be returning to this hotel in the future. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the guest experience, particularly in training and empowering staff to handle such situations with care and...
