Dining at Kamat Vegetarian Restaurant was a culinary delight that transcended expectations, leaving an indelible mark on our family experience.
The Seekh Kabab Masala, a personal favorite, was a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate, showcasing Kamat's mastery in crafting delectable vegetarian dishes. The infusion of spices elevated the dish to a level where one might question if it truly was vegetarian.
For my family, the Vegetarian Biryani emerged as a star, weaving a tapestry of aromatic rice and perfectly blended spices. Each forkful was a celebration of authenticity, proving that vegetarian options could rival their non-vegetarian counterparts.
The Pani Puri, Samosas, and Rose Falooda, each a culinary gem in its own right, showcased the diverse and rich tapestry of Indian flavors that Kamat effortlessly brings to the table. The Pani Puri burst with tangy and spicy goodness, the Samosas were crisp parcels of delight, and the Rose Falooda offered a sweet conclusion to our feast.
What sets Kamat apart is not just the scrumptious fare but the commitment to maintaining the authenticity of Indian cuisine in its vegetarian form. The ambiance was vibrant, reflecting the spirit of Indian hospitality, and the staff's courteous service added a touch of warmth to our dining experience.

Read moreI just went for a lunch today 3rd september 2023 , the food was good the ambience was also equally good except the behaviour of the staff there, im not complaining everyone but one staff who behaviour was really rude and bad. Which even made my sister feel not to have rest food from there which we ordered. Mr. Promod who was a service staff who spoke to us as if we wer having some free food from there, we had ordered 3 thali meal and roti and paneer curry plus paneer starter and we wer 6 of them including a kid who is 2 years old. And when he saw there was a roti shared from thali meal which was for the kid who was 2 years and the staff mr. promod who came to us and said as if we are having a free food from there, the way he said you shldnt share a meal with a 2 year old kid was so pathetic and bad. Who ever it we have ordered enough food for a table and this is not the way a restaurant service staff should behave to any staff. He can do it i accept but should be in a polite way. By his behaviour my sister never felt like feeding a 2 year old kid and we came out of the restaurant and went to another restaurant. So it will be good if your service staff not everyone but staffs like mr. Promod should improve the way they approach any customer or the value of the restaurant which we often visit will be gone. Because of this incident i dont think any one from our family would ever visit the restaurant kamat again. Hope managers or the respected official of the kamat restaurant will take this as a serious issue. As a service sector and making any customer feel this way is such a bad...
Read moreThis is one of the more popular vegetarian restaurants in Dubai. It’s a typical Indian restaurant with an extensive menu serving North Indian, South Indian, and Chinese food.
Visiting on a fairly busy Diwali evening, they were quick to help us get a table for four. Appreciate that. We ordered: ➖ Dahi batata puri ➖Papdi chaat ➖Veg seekh kebab ➖Hara bhara kebab ➖Sarso ka kabab ➖Kaju matar masala ➖Assortment of breads
Both the kebabs lived up to my expectations, succinctly cooked, well grilled exterior and juicy from within. 👍 The dahi batata puri and papdi chaat, though different dishes, tasted the same. Moreso because of the overuse of sweetened dahi (curd) which overpowered any other flavor. So, a less than satisfactory chaat experience.😐 The main course was decent, nothing exceptional, but nothing spectacularly bad about it. 🙂 While the chaat and the kababs were served in a reasonable time, the main course took exceptionally long. 😕 But I guess it can be attributed to the Diwali evening, so willing to let this one slide What disappointed me was the lack of presentation when it came to food – I get that this is not a fine dine, but it isn’t a budget street joint either. It almost made me feel uninterested in the food. But overall, a decent experience and it still is a very promising place. Will definitely be planning another visit and hoping for a...
