Review based on someone who does not drink alcohol*
Came here with my friends for drinks and dinner.
The place was empty and we decided to sit outside because the weather was really good.
The waitress basically made us order what she wanted and whatever we asked she pretty much said don't take it or we can't give that. Didn't quite like that. Made me think that they were just serving what was available in the kitchen.
Anyway, we started with the starters. BRILLIANT. Amazing starters here! The Kung Pao Chicken was fantastic as well as the Kung Pao Prawns!
For the main course, I went for the mixed fried rice and Thai green curry. Disastrous. The prawns in the rice was hard. Just couldn't eat it. The Thai curry was basically a curry which felt like it's from Kerala but worse because they tried to make it taste Thai, which it didn't.
I know it's my fault ordering a Thai curry from a restaurant which serves dishes from Kerala but I do feel they shouldn't include cuisines in the menu if they aren't capable of serving them as is without ruining it.
My friends loved their dinner and said it was really good. They had ordered dosa with sambhar and chutney.

Read moreU2pura is an amazing place to explore kerala cuisine and also north indian food. But their speciality is keralite dishes. We three visited and ordered north indian thali, king fish in spicy curry, pomfret fish in mango curry, fried king fish, keral thick rice, basmati rice and a north indian thali. Fish in mango curry took the crown followed by the fried king fish, spicy curry and thali in the order. They serve some UNIQUE mix of drinks that we have never seen before. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. There are options of smoking and non smoking areas to choose from !!! Would love to visit again and try other...
Read moreI visited U2Pura last year. I needed a place to sit, relax, and satisfy my taste buds. Good part with this place is that they have quite area as well as place where big screen is there to watch matches. There staff 'Athiya' , if i got the name correct, who made sure i have a plesant and quite time. She ensured my food is served as and when I asked for it.
In Dubai i have been to many Indian cuisine serving restaurants and mostly served great food, but 'Athiya's hospitality made my experience a level up as compared to rest all restaurant.
She has added a fan of U2Pura.
PS: In my review photo she can be seen...
