Unfortunately, my experience in that place was very poor. I was met by a very nice waiter with perfect English: he took my order. I orders mushroom soup, a kind of chicken pie. Also I asked if they had coke after which ordered water. Also, I specifically asked for all the food to be served simultaneously since I had a plan to drink soup and eat the pie together.
In a while, a different guy served soup. Without a pie. I didn't complain and just decided to enjoy it one by one. BUT!!! The soup was over salted. In a way that I couldn't eat a single spoon. I put it aside and started waiting if the guys would approach and ask if something is wrong with it. I need to mention, that I was the only visitor to the restaurant at that time and there was a guy having food looking like the owner or top manager.
Nobody paid attention that I was not having my soup. And the waiter brought me ..... a can of COKE))) which I never ordered. I was surprised and asked why he did it. I decided to leave without waiting for the pie and to pay the full price. I asked for the bill. No-one was surprised and didn't even inquire why I was not touching the soup. The guy delivered both the bill and the pie together. I paid for the soup, said - that I was very much disappointed - because the soup was over salted, the fact that he borought the coke instead of water as well as that my request for simultaneous serving was not taken into account. The guy apologised but didn't take any action. I took the pie, paid in full and left. Outside I tried a piece of cake and ..... it was OVERSALTED. I entered back, approached the counter returned the pie and express my disappointment. And what did the staff and the manager / owner did? Nothing. Not a single step forward to handle this situation.
Thus I decided to share this review. I Also I read other reviews now and see that poor attitude and a kind of rudeness is typical of that place.
Thus, I wouldn't recommend...

Arriving with quite an appetite, I decided to indulge in a variety of dishes. The mixed mezze, a Soujouk and cheese manakeesh, and lamb chops (with a personal twist of swapping out the fries for rice) made up my feast for the day. The food not only looked fantastic with perfect presentation but was also very filling—a great place to head when you're seriously hungry.
Every dish I tried was delicious, hitting all the right notes. The blend of flavors, cooking style, and quality of ingredients made it clear that I was experiencing authentic Syrian cuisine. Each plate was generously filled, satisfying not just my hunger but also my craving for well-prepared, flavorful food.
The quality of ingredients was evident in both the look and taste of the dishes. There were no compromises made on the freshness or quality—it was obvious that they chose their ingredients with care.
The overall food experience was fantastic. The food was so good that I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
As for the staff, they were attentive and friendly, enhancing the dining experience with their quick service.
Price-wise, Shamiat Restaurant falls into the medium to high range. But considering the quality and quantity of the food served, I'd say it's well worth it.
