Al Tarbouch Al Soory — Restaurant in Sharjah

This was our second time visiting Al Tarbouch. The first time was very nice — the staff were extremely accommodating, and we felt so comfortable dining indoors. Because of that great experience, I decided to come back with my older sister to share how much I liked the place.

Unfortunately, our second visit was very disappointing. We didn’t feel welcome or accommodated at all. The staff member who assisted us seemed uninterested — even when explaining the menu, he didn’t make any recommendations. When I asked if there were any photos of the dishes, he said no, without even suggesting we check their Instagram (which we eventually did ourselves).

The overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable, and we just wanted to finish our meal quickly. On our first visit, we were offered complimentary fruits and tea after our meal, but this time, nothing was offered. It really felt unfair and unprofessional — almost like we were being treated differently.

I still love the food here — the menu and flavors are great — but the service during our second visit was very disappointing. We recently dined at this restaurant with moderate expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was a mixed bag. Here's a breakdown of the dishes we tried:

Meat Tikka (5/10): Disappointingly tough and lacked the tenderness expected.

Kabab Halabi (9/10): Soft, juicy, and packed with flavor — highly recommended.

Fattoush Salad (8/10): Fresh and well-balanced.

Lamb Chops (7/10): Burned and undersized, which was a letdown.

Fareekh Meat (8/10): Nicely prepared and flavorful.

Lentil Soup (10/10): Absolutely perfect in taste and texture.

Mushroom Soup (5/10): Too salty with a raw taste.

Chicken Soup (5/10): Average and lacking depth of flavor.

Hummus (10/10): Smooth, creamy, and delicious.

Lahm Bajeen (8/10): Well-prepared and enjoyable.

Bread (7/10): Initially good but hardened quickly.

Its one of the few restaurants where we take our guests for a dinner. Cuisine is mostly Arabic/Syrian. They have a wide variety of kebabs. We tried kebab halabi which had nuts in it. It was a bit dry but flavourful and tasy. Their shawarma is very cheap and tasty too. We had kebabs, Jordanian mansaf, falafel, kabsa, kibbeh, meat n cheese manakish, etc. All were generous and well cooked. The hummus they serve is of best quality. Freshly baked bread is so good. Falafel and kibbeh were just amazing. We repeatedly order them. They serve complimentary sulaimani after the meal. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
