I was on the lookout for something new in the area and stumbled upon China Bistro.
Atmosphere – I loved that the place wasn’t crowded, making it perfect for a relaxed Sunday meal. Spotlessly clean too, which I always appreciate!
Food – A fusion of Indian, Chinese, and other Asian cuisines.
Chicken Barbecue Bao – This reminded me of a bao bun I once had in the Philippines. The bread was soft as expected, though the texture wasn’t quite like the original Chinese bao. It was okay, but could be improved.
Sizzling Lamb with Thyme – I always enjoy a sizzling plate; the sound alone is appetizing. The thinly sliced veggies that came with the lamb were seasoned beautifully with garlic—I actually finished them all, which is rare for me.

Read moreWe recently visited China Bistro, Sharjah for lunch, hoping for a great dining experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite underwhelming.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt dull. The staff seemed disengaged—perhaps overworked or in need of a break—resulting in service that lacked warmth and attentiveness. It wasn’t outright bad, but it certainly didn’t add anything positive to the experience.
Coming to the food, it was lackluster and missing depth in flavor. We expected bold and balanced tastes for schezwan rice or the dragon chicken we ordered, but most dishes felt somewhat off, as if key ingredients or seasonings were missing.Yes but the Hakka noodles and the Nasi Goreng was the tastiest of the lot. The food wasn’t outright terrible, but it also didn’t excite our taste buds the way good Asian cuisine should.
Overall, China Bistro, Sharjah, was a very average experience—not outright bad, but far from impressive. For the price and reputation, we expected much better. Hope they work on both service and flavors to improve the dining experience. Would we return? Probably not...

@chinabistrouae has launched their new branch in Abu Shagarah, Sharjah and I have been invited to visit this branch and review their food, ambiance, and customer service.
This place is located on the main King Faisal Street with paid parking and a cute ambiance, where they are following all the SOP.
The food was amazingly delicious with the great presentation plus their portion size is good enough for 2-3 people to have a meal.
Our server was Mr. Karthik who was quite humble and attentive and especially the restaurant manager Mr. Yuval and his hospitality was amazing.
