I’m still reeling from the incredible flavors of the Parato Chicken Gravy and Briyani I had at Gramathu Virunthu — this was not just a meal, it was an experience! The parato was soft, flaky, and soaked up the rich, fiery chicken gravy like a dream. Every bite exploded with traditional spices and homely warmth that only true village-style cooking can deliver.

And the briyani? Absolutely divine. The rice was perfectly cooked, each grain infused with bold, aromatic masalas and tender pieces of chicken that melted in the mouth. I could taste the love and authenticity in every spoonful.

It wasn’t just food — it was a celebration of Tamil tradition on a plate. If you haven’t been yet, run, don’t walk. This is the kind of meal you’ll be talking...

I made the mistake of visiting this so-called “Gramathu Virunthu” restaurant — honestly, the name is the biggest joke here. There was nothing “gramathu” (village-like) or “virunthu” (feast) about it, unless dirt and neglect count as tradition. From filthy floors to grimy tables, cleanliness clearly never made it onto their menu. We ordered fish meals and nattu koli meals — the chicken could double up as a rubber ball, and the sweet was basically glue with sugar. Hospitality? Let’s just say even Google Maps was more welcoming. My advice: kindly rename your place so you don’t trap unsuspecting customers like me who drove all the way from Dubai for what turned out to be a pathetic...
