TO NOT BUY (WORST EXPERIENCE EVER)-
My father, for his birthday, wanted to give his colleagues and bosses a party as everyone requested one. So, having a big heart, he did so with purchasing catering from Sind Punjab. Everything went well and all the dishes such as Biryani, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Butter Naan, etc were bought for 50 people and scheduled for delivery at Jebal Ali, to the office he worked at. It was scheduled to be delivered at 12 noon and by 1pm everything should be set and people will roll in to eat. We spoke with the Manager at 10am and he said everything is fine and he told the Driver all the details and given the location. At 11am, we again spoke with Manager who said everything is okay, and we also sent him the Google Maps Location. At 12:30pm, the food still hasn't arrived and the Manager said that it will be there in 5 mins, which was a BIG LIE. Then, he gave us the Driver's No. who also said that he will reach in 5 mins. At 1pm, still he hasn't arrived. Then we called him, and started was long chain of where are you? and the Driver being lost and us finding him to no avail. He didn't even have a Smartphone, just a generic Cellphone to pick up calls, so he cannot even use Google Maps to come to the location. We called the Manager and he said that he gave him the correct location and the Driver says he didn't and in the end, the Driver took the wrong directions and still by 3pm, we couldn't find him since he says he is near Lulu, then when we go to Lulu, he says he is at Choithrams, etc then in the end, we told him to just cancel the order and go back since by that time, the food must have been stale and cold. One good thing we did is that we didn't pay upfront or god knows, how much time they would take to return the money, especially since we canceled at the last moment which could cost us to lose the WHOLE almost AED 2000. So, I would recommend NEVER EVERY BUYING from Sind Punjab as they have no respect for people's time since they made my dad, chase around them which ruined his whole day because although his colleagues where sympathetic and bosses saying to not worry and things happen sometime, made him almost cry since it devalued his reputation and promise since there were people who were angry as they haven't eaten all day and were looking forward to indulge in good Indian Cuisine including my dad which was a total disappointed. Good, that his company is supportive or else some other fellow might have lost their jobs because of this whole ordeal.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE EVER and it disappointedly happened...
Read moreThe food at Sind Punjab is absolutely fantastic, and the authenticity of flavors really stands out. Over two days, I had the chance to try several dishes, and none disappointed: • On the first day, I had Chicken Karahi and Garlic Naan. Both were bursting with flavors, freshly made, and cooked to perfection. • The second day was just as delightful with Pindi Chole, Tandoori Chicken (full), and Garlic Naan. The spices were well-balanced, and the naan was warm and soft—a perfect companion for both dishes.
While the food is undeniably amazing and deserves praise, I did notice the service could use some improvement. The stewards were polite but seemed overwhelmed, resulting in slower service. If the staff were more proactive and efficient, this would easily be a 5-star experience.
The ambiance is cozy and fits well for locals and budget travelers. The value for money is excellent, especially for the generous portion sizes.
Would definitely recommend for a flavorful North Indian meal in the heart of Bur Dubai. A must-visit for...
