We really liked the atmosphere of the cafe, it feels quite minimalistic but comforting especially with the food they served. The food was lovely but we felt like the halloumi were on a salty side, more than usual, slightly over salted possibly at least for our taste. The plate that the salmon tagliatelle was on was chipped in three places as seen on the picture and also had some red sauce on the outside of it, that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as this could be improved on. The salmon tagliatelle had a lot of onion as well or taste of onion, the salmon was lovely though. The chicken penne was lovely as well. We ordered Fentimans Cherry Cola which we both loved and also Pomelo San Pelegrino. Both drinks were very nice, at the end we got to Fentimans to go as we really liked them.

Delightful cafe with indoor and outdoor (at rear) dining. Crepes (cooked by a Frenchwoman) are divine! I had the Chèvre. Amazing caramelised onion showed me I hadn’t had properly caramelised onion before this! Many different cakes to drool over, hard to choose! (See photo for some examples) I got the lemon drizzle to take away for later, but would have gotten cheesecake if I was eating it then. I didn’t like the coffee, but I also hate Starbucks, so me not liking it might be a recommendation? Not wheelchair accessible: multiple sets of stairs. Menus in photos at 15 June 24

Such a beautiful place, I didnt realise at first that there was a cafe upstairs, but seriously it's such a shout! Hot chocolate...bomb Focaccina...bomb (I had the Bacon and Brie and substituted the tomato for red onion, such a great choice!!) The food and drinks are amazing, filling and for a great price. Also they give you this fruit infused water for after your drink to help get rid of the after taste of coffee etc.

Can't rate this for its food and coffee since we weren't able to actually order anything.

We came in with our disabled child who chose the first table nearest the counter to sit at. It had a reserved card on it and we were going to find another table but a staff member removed the reserved card so we could sit down.

All good, all normal, menu looked fine, lots of customers and we chatted about what we fancied having.

And then that was it. No one came to our table. Customers came in for takeaway coffee and were served.

Nobody paid any attention to us. At all. For fifteen minutes. The staff could see us as they had to walk around us to serve other tables, and we were at the table facing the counter.

So we left. What's the point. I don't get it. Just plain ignored. Why? It's not like they made a mistake and overlooked us. Impossible. So they chose to not serve us.

I can only speculate as to why we were ignored and the only reason I can think of is a very...

Have passed by this place several times and decided to drop in today and was happy I did. Had a very nice chicken and leek pie with mash and veg together with an excellent coffee. I thought priced on a par with my regular haunts in Aberdeen such as Sand Dollar, Food Story etc but I am retired and regularly eat out. Imagine that for some students who I presume would be their regular clientele it would be a little pricey. Having said that it was more or less full at 2.00pm when I was there. Was alone today but will be telling some of my buddies about the place so if the owners notice an increase in grey-pound takings they can blame me and give me a discount! A special shout-out to the staff who were attentive, friendly and decidedly hip - I should know I was there first time...
