O'Neill's Aberdeen — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Absolutely appalling.. ordered a scampi with chips and additional side salad in O'Neil's, Backwynd Aberdeen only to receive on my plate 9 pieces of scampi, kiddies portion of peas, no chips where I had to return to the bar to request them.. when I did receive them they were awful..(overcooked, brown and undercooked, White) also the side salad with only a few sliced wrinkled baby tomatoes and seemingly disgusting saggy lettuce with horrible brown stale cracks in it.. nothing else, the salad looked like it had been recovered from a food bin after aday or possibly they day before.. no way was gonna eat that.. Yuk 🤮 Very disappointed as my prior visits were nothing like this and very much the opposite. I therefore asked to speak to the manager in order to make my complaint, where a woman claiming to be the duty manager, who wasn't even concerned about it and told me to contact head office, which I did and didn't even get a refund by her or the head office after leaving the meal uneaten on the table, that experience has been most upsetting and confirmed that I have no intention of returning to O'Neil's anywhere due to staff obviously unsuitable for the positions given ie. Chefs and incompetent undesirable duty Management. PS.. Just keep my money 💰.. it's the last O'Neil's will...

Hadn't been there since Covid and we won't be going back! So disappointing from the service to the food! Once we got the staff off their mobiles we got the menus and I had to settle for my 3rd choice as the Steak and Guiness Steak pie was not on! Biggest issue was we should have been told that when we got the menus! (It was 6pm not late) Fish and chips were really let down by the amount of salt on the chips, it was quite sickening actually, and the burger was burntish ( maybe they say Chargrilled) and rubbery, Had lovely meals there in the past and I'm not surprised it was quiet for a Friday UPDATE for O'NEILL'S After the Manager responded to my review, we were invited to a complimentary meal to change our mind about not going back there. So yesterday (6th December) my wife and I booked a table and I must say it was totally different from our last visit with pleasant and attentive staff, only one thing not on the menu which was my first choice but the rump steak I had was excellent and my wife had the Bacon Burger and that was very good, I should have asked for no salt on the chips but forgot about it, nevertheless while the chips were a bit too salty for our taste they were lovely, so hopefully it was just a...

I was in this bar on tuesday night and was completely astounded. Just enjoying my drink and heard one hell of a smash. There was a guy hitting the till. One of the staff went over to him lightning quick and grabbed him. At first I thought the guy was a problem and the staff were heavy handed. I couldn't have been more wrong. The lady behind the bar was on the phone to an ambulance and looked really shaken. The customer was choking and really panicked but the Male staff when grabbing him was actually performing the heimlich and managed to save the guy.

After it all went back to normal the guy was so relieved. I've been to lots of places and seen lots of things in my years but the speed at which this was dealt with was incredible. There was only 1 guy working on tuesday so should be easy to work out as I didn't get his name but he...
