I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant. From start to finish, the entire evening was a series of letdowns that I feel compelled to share.
The service here is pathetic. Our server appeared disinterested and inattentive from the moment we sat down. It took an eternity for someone to take our orders, and even then, they got them wrong. It's baffling how a simple request for no spice could be so misunderstood. Throughout the meal, we had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water refills and extra napkins, each time met with a sigh and an eye-roll from the server.
The dishes lacked the authentic flavours I was expecting. It's as if they had a heavy hand with the generic spice blend and forgot about the intricate balance that makes Indian cuisine so remarkable.
What truly left me aghast was the exorbitant prices they had the audacity to charge for such subpar fare. The portion sizes were meager, yet the bill was nothing short of a shocker.
I would strongly advise against dining at Rishi’s. The appalling service and disappointing food make this restaurant a poor choice for anyone seeking an authentic Indian dining experience in Aberdeen. Save your money and your taste buds by exploring other options in the area that actually deliver on the promises of quality...
Read moreLovely food but disappointing service which is a shame. We were a group of 7, in Aberdeen for work at the theatre, and after our show, we arrived at 9.45pm. Waiter repeatedly told us that the kitchen was shutting soon even though we said that we would order asap, which we did. There was no need to make us feel so rushed at the start of our visit.
Food portions were good and food arrived quickly enough, but in fits and starts, with curries served before rice, causing a delay in some of us eating. My meal didn't arrive as the kitchen forgot to make it, and there was no apology when I asked for it to come or when it finally arrived. It was also not clear that with a vegetarian biryani, it is served without the veg curry sauce, which leaves the biryani quite dry. I was also not served the raita for my biryani.
We were then hurried to get the bill, and then hurried to pay it. We asked for a few minutes to figure out the split, and then when we asked to pay, the waiter didn't allow us to split it individually. He could have told us that before.
It was a disappointing end to the evening meal I had been looking forward to. And I'm sad that I brought my colleagued to this place that made me...
Read moreThis restaurant was so close to getting a 5 star review until the poor service right at the end. Me and my wife came in and we was seated and drink order was taken. Service continued to be good and the food was amazing. It all went down hill after we finished our meal and they took our plates away. We looked at the desert menu and no one came to ask if we was finished or if we wanted dessert. People left from tables next to and around us and the waiters cleaned the tables and we was still waiting to be asked if we wanted desert. New people came in and seated and the newly cleaned tables and then waiters came back to serve them and me and my wife was still waiting for someone to come over to us. We waited 20 minutes from when the waiter took out plates until we decided we was leaving without desert. We told the waiter when we was paying that we wanted desert but no one came to us and he gave us a lousy apology like he wasn’t really bothered. So disappointed because would’ve given 5 starts but that let down the...
