Drift Shoreham — Restaurant in Adur

Been to drift a few times and always enjoyed the food however my most recent visit has left me extremely disappointed. I attended three weeks ago with my newborn baby and a friend. I sat in the corner by the toilets and I had my pram with me. The pram does take up a bit of space like most prams do but there was plenty of space for staff to move around the other side of the tables.

During our breakfast I was asked on more than occasion to move it however there was nowhere to move it too and this was explained. It wasn't blocking access to the toilets and It wasn't taking up any chair or table space. After ordering breakfast and multiple drinks during the middle of feeding my baby I was then asked when I would be leaving!! The staff member was quite rude and said it was getting busy and we were in the way.

Now I had only been there an hour and an half and in that time as explained had breakfast and drinks. Service was slow anyway but I was a paying customer and to be asked when I was leaving made me feel extremely uncomfortable and upset. Drift clearly aren't a family friendly restaurant and you shouldn't be rushing customers out regardless especially when they have just spent close to £40 on food and drinks. It was our first visit there for lunch today. The service was very friendly and professional. The food and drinks came out to our table in very good time and were all fantastic and well priced. They didn’t skimp on the fillings at all. The Drift Burritos, Drift Club Toasted Sandwich had lots of chicken packed in there and the Berry Waffle all had loads of fruit in it. This is definitely the way to keep customers happy which is where so many fail by penny pinching on the quantities…..well done indeed and please don’t change this policy. We’ll be back. Many...

I am in shoreham once a week , and spend a lot of it wandering around aimlessly. I chose to visit drift, and was served with such kindness and thoughtfulness. I even had my own pillow plumper , the lovely Loz!

As a barista myself, I must say the chai latte was perfectly frothed. I was impressed with the flavours.

The staff made such a terrible day a really lovely one for me. Even chatted with me when I had a little wobble. Above and beyond. Thankyou to Anna, Loz and Em for their kindness and friendliness. It really does make all the difference.
