I've been here a few times this year, the first time we shared some small plates and the food and atmosphere was nice. I went for a roast on mothers day and the gravy was delicious, no crackling with the pork which I was happy with because I feel its overrated. I went with my son today and ordered a kids burger and an adults chicken burger. The burger inside the larger bun was the same size as the child's portion. I mentioned this to the waitress, she offered no alternative and seemed a bit rude and had an attitude. Apparently that's the portion size. I told her that I wouldn't order it again and it said to leave a review at the bottom of the receipt which is why I'm doing so. I'd say if you're after a chicken burger then it's better to order the kids portion and pay half the price. The burger was average at best but I could barely taste it as there was so much bread. It came to £26 for an adult and a child's burger and chips, and two lime and soda waters that cost £1 each, Is that good...
Read moreWe are from nearby Upper Bedding and don't normally go to Shoreham to eat but if we do, we only trust some of the more mainstream restaurants down the high street. But last Saturday we thought we'd try East Street which we normally walk past as the restaurants look too poncy for their own good. So we had a look at the options and gave the Tap House a go. My wife is veggie and our kid is picky to say the least but the menu had some interesting options (jackfruit burger for the Mrs, range of breads for the littlun). I had a tap house burger. Not expecting the world, the food arrived and it was superb. I can safely say the ''standard' tap house burger was the best I have ever eaten and I'm an ''old man' as our littlun keeps telling me. And only £8.95 with perfect fries. My wife's jackfruit burger also got top marks apparently and even our fussy kid loved the bread so much she wanted to take home what she couldn't eat. Top marks to the tap house, we thoroughly...
Read moreA great little Bar-Restaurant located not far from the River Adur. It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. With outdoor seating, it leaves you in a great atmosphere, especially when the sun is shining and the nice cool breeze from the river hits you. The food I had was very tasty and freshly cooked. There's a good mixture of choices of options on the menu depending on your preferences. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The number of toilet facilities was fairly limited for both male and females. Overall, everything was fairly priced. I had a pleasant experience on this visit, so I would definitely like to...
