Alfreton House Tea Rooms — Restaurant in Amber Valley

The woman with the short blonde bob was rude and because of her we won’t be coming back . Our time was paid for so the fact the tearoom was overbooked was an oversight on the staffs part . I spoke to a friend outside who I hadn’t seen for a long time and this event was to meet up and spend 75 minutes at the tea party . We were 20 mins late due to traffic and the sat nav taking us round in circles . To be told we were 20 minutes late and other people were waiting loudly like we were children was beyond rude - to sit on the table that was meant for us in the first place - with 5 of our party already seated was extremely rude and to be quite frank not our problem . She needs to sort her attitude promptly . The 75 minutes was paid for and I’m sure as an adult we also get to use it how we like . All the other staff were lovely . There’s always one...

Always wanted to come here after seeing so many nice posts ,and today me and the wife came and wow I was impressed with the food and cost which always helps ,we had the autumn tea which was fantastic the toasties was brilliant and tasted great I used the little pot of soup to dip my toastie in lol and that again was very nice ,the scones was warm and fresh ,both me and the wife couldn’t even finish it’s all so the nice slices of cake came home with us ,I could highly recommend coming here and book in advance as there phone didn’t stop Thanks again John Ps...

OH MY GOD. The best tea date ever. Me and my partner have been trying to come here for a while, however, Google’s timing isn’t always correct. Nonetheless we were lucky enough to drop by today and we were so amazed by how delicious and fresh everything was. All in all we spent £24 altogether and had lots of tea, rounds of sandwiches, cakes and scones.

The seating inside is beautiful and relaxed and the service was fabulous. We even took some bits home to enjoy later on. We will definitely be coming back here. I wish it was open all day...
