Let's Taco 'Bout It — Restaurant in Amber Valley

It’s insanity how this randomly located in a residential neighbourhood hole in the wall is one of the best Mexican takeouts we have ever had in England.

The young man that greeted us, gave us his advice on the menu options and even found my girl outside to tell her our order’s ready is truly a good dude. On his recommendation of the Burritos to get, we went for the Birria and for me the BBQ pulled pork. Accompanied by the fully loaded nachos. Holy Mexican 🇲🇽 jumping beans their food is very delicious. I’m from Florida & Spain so I grew up with comida Mexicana. Let’s Taco About it are up there with the best doing it from food trucks offerings to restaurants. The sour cream was spot on, portion size epic, £9 each is comparatively the best price throughout Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire and we are most definitely going back for more. We live in Nottingham so 1/2 hour drive each way but sooo worth it. Absolute little gem! We visited Ripley from chesterfield to watch the band my dads in play in one of the pubs. We arrived early enough to get food but not early enough for a sit down meal - a quick google led us to Lets taco bout it and were so pleased it did! From the minute we walked in we were greeted by a kind lady who gave us time to browse the menu without being pushy. We placed our order and paid cash - prefered payment method although card accepted. Nothing was too much trouble, after ordering, we realised one of the items had jalapenos on which i would find to spicy and having them removed was no hassle! We ordered the beef brisket burrito, cajun fries and the Birria beef quesadilla. The wait time even though we hadnt preordered was very minimal and the presentation was great and food well packaged. Everything was cooked fresh to order, piping hot and absolutely delicious, the portion sizes were great value for money too. A good authentic mexican is a rare find and this one is amazing. We were disappointed when they moved from Derby to Ripley as it's a bit of a trip for us but so worth it. The guys are friendly and the shop is bright and clean. Not to mention the food is amazing! We have never been disappointed with any of the food and the Jarritos soda are really worth a try (the grapefruit and mandarin flavours are the best).

The birria beef quesadillas are delicious, as are the loaded nachos. The Korean BBQ pork tacos are so good - we just wish they did it on the nachos!

The fries are always crisp and clean tasting, and we love the elote as it has so much flavour. The refried beans are also very good, as is the guacamole.
