Pear Tree Hotel Ripley — Restaurant in Amber Valley

I came in here with my family on Xmas Eve and we had some food from the festive menu, it was cooked really well I had the rump wellington which was cooked rare if it weren't for the stringy bit running through the middle of it it would have been really nice, but for that price it wasn't bad, however the time it took from starter to main to be on the table was dreadful I think it was over an hour and a half! Went to Peartree with a few friends tonight and had a disappointing experience. I ordered a double vodka with Red Bull and a sausage roll. The sausage roll had a weird smell, which was off-putting. Even worse, the Red Bull can looked old and dirty, and I was shocked to see it had expired just three days ago. This is unacceptable.

They really need to check their stock and improve food quality. Definitely not a place I’d recommend based on...

We had a late lunch at the Pear Tree Hotel. So good. I had chicken and Leek pie... it came with excellent chips and peas. It really was a good choice. Undoubtedly, the best pie I've had for a long, long time. Our other meal was quiche, again with chips and peas. Both meals were excellent and plentiful. Plus a tasty pint of Abbots to accompany my meal. Good, food, good service........A great afternoon...
