Sanchini’s Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Amber Valley

This was my second visit to Sanchines Coffee Shop in Duffield. On my first visit, I was warmly welcomed by a gentleman whose name I, unfortunately, didn’t catch. His exceptional customer service made a lasting impression.

Today, the service was provided by a different staff member—a woman—who wasn’t quite as attentive. However, towards the end of my visit, I had the chance to speak with the same gentleman from my first visit, and once again, his service stood out as exceptional.

The food here is excellent. Both times, I had a delicious latte. On my first visit, I also enjoyed a wonderful pecan muffin, while today, I had a fantastic banana chocolate loaf.

Sanchini's, what a find! From the first sip, I was transported - this place is my slice of Melbourne, Australia in the heart of Derbyshire. The coffee is consistently exceptional, and that's all down to the passion and skill of the owner, Alex, who is superbly knowledgeable and genuinely cares about every cup that's served. Having just spent 4 days in Bilbao, we were lamenting the lack of true cafe culture in our local area so decided to venture a bit further afield.
