I was searching for a new place to eat. After googling the top places in Derby, āThe White Hartā was an option. Weāll speak about the good bits first. The Menu was very appealing and attractive with some great prices too, so we booked a table. Initially it stated weād get a table inside but we desired to have one outside due to the weather. We made a note for an outside table if available. There is designated parking for customers only which is free. The interior decor is beautiful creating a warm, welcoming ambiance. The Tables are spaced out enough to give customers their privacy. We were then sat outside in the garden under a pergola. The Pergola garden area is beautiful. Designed beautifully for familyās and friends in partitioned areas for you and your party. There is a bar outside too. They offer table service or you can order at the bar. We ordered our food - Pan Fried Sea Bass and Kerala Fish Curry. It was divine! Absolutely beautiful! I wasnāt sure what to expect, but the food and service was āalmostā faultless! Iād definitely recommend the Fish Curry. Thereās not many places that can get this right, but āThe White Hartā got it spot on!!! We werenāt waiting too long for food either which was great. The staff attended to us and made sure we were alright or if we needed anything. Thank you for a lovely āWhite Hart heart š¤ā experience. š«

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe White Hart is a historic pub located in the village of Duffield, Derbyshire. The pub offers a range of food and drink options, including traditional pub fare, a selection of local beers and ales, and an extensive wine list.
The pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food. It has a traditional and cozy feel, with exposed brick walls and wooden beams adding to its charm. The outdoor seating area is also very nice during the warmer months.
The food is of a high standard, with quality presentation of the dishes. The Sunday roast is a particular highlight, this is one of the best in the area. The pub also offers freshly made wood fired stone baked pizzas which are also a highlight.
The staff at The White Hart are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the food and drink options on offer. Their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience is a welcome break.
One potential downside is that it can become busy, particularly during peak times, and it may be necessary to book in advance to ensure a table. However, this is a testament to the popularity of the pub and the quality of the service it provides.
Overall, The White Hart is a well-regarded establishment in the local area, offering good food, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere. If you're in the area, it's definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBar area full of drunken men shouting and swearing for all to hear. Thoroughly unpleasant, and hostile environment. Completely unacceptable when there are families with young children wanting to enjoy their Sunday carvary / pizzas. Ordered 4 pizzas & fries which took over an hour to arrive. Yes seriously, 1 hour. Staff not particularly friendly, and very cliquy. Drinks overpriced. It seems they employ a lot of teenage staff at weekends. I don't have an issue with this, only with the way they are managed. In this case, pretty poorly. I did enquire what was happening with our pizzas on 2 occasions. The first occasion, i had the impression they had forgotten our order altogether. I appreciate it was a fairly busy Sunday afternoon, but not THAT busy. All the time we were waiting i saw NO other pizzas coming out of the kitchen area. To be fair, we were given 2 free drinks, and when the food arrived it was very good. All in all, a visit to the White Swan to forget, and after we finished, i couldn't leave quickly enough. This is a shame, as we have eaten here plenty of times before and found it ok most of the time. I make a big mistake of paying for my food upfront. Had i realised what was about to unfold, i would have simply left after 20-30 mins and found somewhere...
