We visited on 18.10.24 at around 6.30 pm. The experience was poor from start to finish. We sat outside as we had a dog with us, We asked for a water bowl three times to no avail. I ordered a pitter with humus, This took almost 40 minutes to arrive. However, during this time the mains That I ordered arrived within 15 minutes. The starter was therefore abandoned so the main meal didn’t go cold. I tried to speak to the staff about it, nobody really cared. Tried to contact directly, nobody replied.
During the Friday evening, I was very sick. I can only assume this was due to the food.
What was also really sad is that there was a group of young boys opposite, they had evidently organised to have dinner together. Despite ordering at the same time, the food was staggered at approximately 15 minute intervals. Meaning that the two boys waited 15 and 30 minutes, before eating when their friends food finally arrived. I mentioned it’s the manager as I knew that the young boys wouldn’t, the manager just shrugged. I Asked the boys if everything was okay and they said that it was, but the food was cold as it waited so long.
I have been visiting Nando’s for about 16 years, and While the quality and experience during this time slowly gets worse, this was a real real shame. So avoid like the plague. Staff totally useless, unhelpful, and downright lazy. The circumstances are: Arrived got shown to the table and advised to use the app to order. Plenty of staff walking round. Placed order for 1 starter and 3 meals initially. Staff wandering around. The starter arrived before I had to ask where the drinks were. Came back with 3 refillable drinks. Which is not what was ordered. Got asked by the staff what did you order? Main meals arrived by the time they had stopped moving due to the way they were slung onto the table. Another member of staff asked is everything is OK with your meal. I said I could not say as they had just arrived! After this stupidly, we ordered deserts. 2 of one desert and 1 other. The 1 arrived a few minutes later 1 of the 2 arrived. The staff then went to walk away. I asked where the other desert was. He said we have not got anymore. I said, but the app let me. You can have a refund. I said no, take this 1 of 2 away and refund me for both. I cannot do that was the reply. I asked if there was someone I could speak to. Read moreWe visited over Christmas period, we came early and decided to stop at Nando’s at lunch, we got there at 12 so that we could grab a spot, so many people had this idea as it was already quite busy.
We sat and ordered food, the server was great and gave us a nice cozy spot and asked regarding allergies that it must be ordered at the front and not via the we code as they are serious about allergies.
If you do not have any allergies, the bonus is that you can order via qr code at your table so then you do not have to wait up front.
The food came out and it was the wrong order big it was then soon corrected which was great!
The food was really good as usual, I did try something new, this was the pita!
That was great! Again great portion sizes, great flavour, fresh taste!
The only thing was when it was busy, customers kept opening the doors and staring in them or not closing them upon leaving, we were say right by the doors and it was a cold day, for us we had to keep getting up to close the doors as I didn’t want to have to put my coat on to eat my food and having that breeze while trying to enjoy a warm cozy lunch was a little annoying.
