Eliza's Pantry — Restaurant in Babergh

Always call into Eliza's for full English breakfast. Delicious well cooked, well presented. My favourite is the small English with granery bread toast and butter. I sometimes switch up to vegan breakfast with vegan sausage as I love the ones on offer. My mum enjoys the wilted spinach on the poached egg breakfast. It's also hard to resist leaving without a cake or two for afternoon tea later. This place is very very busy. At weekends it has cyclist clubs, walkers and families...then weekdays locals and laborers getting their full English. Dog lovers are welcomed along with a few treats for their furry companions. Strange place. It was chucking it down, cold and wet. We saw the signs outside saying open and tables yet every detail apart from that said closed. You need to open the red door and step through. Not obvious. I shouted a greeting but was met with a Luke warm reception. Odd. The lack of social interaction continued throughout the time we were there. Good place to meet up. Tea was ok. Not strong. Cake was interesting. Some good choice. Nothing bad to say hence 4 stars but...

We had a lovely experience, our first time here. (After looking around the beautiful town and shopping in the superb antique shop almost opposite.) We were sat at a window table, charming service from two staff, ate a great breakfast (the best veggie one my partner had eaten in a while!) and shared a lovely slice of cake. The young waitress was sweet and helpful, we enjoyed a chat with other customers. A really nice...
