McDonald's — Restaurant in Barnsley

Everytime we go we order from the machines, everytime the machines are out of receipt paper. One time I got told by a member of their staff they don't give out receipts, and the manager is busy. I got their attention when asked for a fund due to them refusing my receipt on my food order. They have never got the orders right, due to spending more effort on Justeat orders. Their is always an item of food that is cold. The last straw was 19/08/25, when we decided enough is enough. Cold food. No receipt given out of machine again. 3.Too focused on Justeat and not to customers in the restaurant who have paid for their food, (no equal service). Beef burgers placed under the boxes on the outside instead of in the burger buns in the box. Items always missed from order. There is always enough staff their, but it is always chaos, staff walking about like they don't know why they are there. Early morning, later mornings, afternoons, evenings, week days, weekends and holidays. Always shocking. Waste food all over the restaurant and kitchen floor. If I was a McDonald's representative I remove the McDonald's name from above the door. Their is always an item of food binned from our order due to food hygiene concerns. We now travel 30 minutes out our way to a different restaurant. That's either diner in and or takeaway. Absolutely appalling serviceable food, dont waste your time or your money, find another place to eat. Owner reply is a very scripted reply, banging on about their offers and speedy friendly service. That's not the restaurant we want to. Please smell what...

Friendly and helpful staff do a fantastic job keeping the location tidy and clean with a smile and without complaint. They were kind and offered assistance before and as it was needed with a welcoming smile. The food was fresh cooked and enjoyable too. The ambience was good for a chat over a pleasant meal to recharge our batteries. We will return, often Dec 2022... Though we have returned weekly in last couple of months we find that the food is not consistent. When complaints raised we told they got new trainees... well how long does it take to train new people, and surely there is a review card to see how each burger should be constructed. It feels as if the gurkin is in short supply recently...also burgers often do not resemble those shown... sauces ordered not always given, with no explanation.... This has been one of our favourites but lately the food has let it down. Also a big difference in floor staff personalities... some bring your order and let you eat it while still warm, only checking briefly that all is OK AND that is fine with me, meanwhile others seem to want to force you to go online and comment on the venue and name them as helpful... this is not what I come for. I come to eat..., not to be pestered and prevented from eating. Not sure whats changed behind the scenes but a shake up is...

Well this is the third time we have used this McDonald's and it will probably be the last. The first time we waited nearly 15 minutes for food. Very slow but I thought as it had recently opened I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. The second time fries were left out of an order somewhat annoying especially when they had been paid for coupled with another long wait. Tonight was the final straw. Another long wait for them to prepare food. On getting home I found that the homestyle chicken meal had no fries, there were no fries at all yet again. On opening the box I found they had put a regular beef burger in instead of chicken. Chicken selects meal also had fries missing and they managed to charge us for an additional 2 cokes. As the chicken burger was inedible for the person we got it for we basically paid 14.68 for a 99p cheeseburger 2 medium cokes some chilli cheese bites and 3 chicken selects. Pretty disgusting really. This is currently the worst McDonald's in Barnsley. Drove down to corton...
