I couldn’t wait to review this place food was absolutely incredible. We couldn’t get in till 9pm so we thought we’d give it a try like they do in Mediterranean country’s. Had a few steady drinks a few hours before hand. By the time 9pm came around we were ready and this place did not disappoint. The menu isn’t too big, the place isn’t too big which gives a nice intimate atmosphere. The food tastes as good as it looks the staff were fantastic. I’ve never tried Michelin star food but I’m guessing this is as close as it gets without actually having one. Had 3 amazing courses. Mushroom arancini and beef cheek croquette for starters. Lamb parpadelle with mozzarella and beef Italian sasauge and orecchiette for main. Salted caramel brownie with ice cream for desert. 10 out of 10 a wonderful dining experience. I’m guessing you won’t beat this place in Barnsley.

What a great experience we had and the food was incredible. Like we walked in to my Nona's kitchen deep within italy(im not italian and dont have a nona either), the orrechiette was cooked perfectly, with soft delectable and tender pieces of beef ragu, just fell apart and tasty sausage, a definite must when going. The pizzetta was so tasty and the dough was slightly different to a pizza, soft and tender with a crispy base, filled with pepperoni, honey and burrata, only criticism would be to add the burrata after it's been in oven. The service was absolutely fantastic, weren't rushed had had the full 2 hours and more available, great place to go on date night, you do not get bothered, and the staff are full of knowledge and can help with the whole menu. Unfortunately all the beef cheek was sold out so will def be back to try it.

We stumbled upon Med at Olana by complete chance while exploring Barnsley and we honestly couldn't have found a better hidden gem if we tried! A gorgeous, intimate setting - with an open kitchen. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming, and provided us with excellent service despite having a huge table in alongside us. The food was unreal, it is hard to capture in words how excellent it was. The vegan orichetti was an absolute show stopper. Not to mention the tiramisu - a fantastic take on a classic. We can't wait for our next visit 🩷
