Thus place is fantastic. For £27.50 you get a set menu, which for us was anti-pasti consisting of bruscetta, meatballs, borloti beans, garlic mushrooms, Mozzarella and salami. Followed by two different spaghetti dishes, then chicken and roast potatoes and veg, and finally the most delicious tiramisu. Unfortunately I didn't manage to take too many photos, as the food was so amazing we were tucking in before we even thought to reach for the camera. The place is very small so the atmosphere is amazing, the owners are real characters and make the evening so entertaining that you don't realise just how much time you are there. Just got back in and already trying to book our next visit.

We managed to get a last minute booking due to a cancellation for my dad’s birthday and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been trying to get a booking for ages so I was thrilled that we got this! The staff were so accommodating and quick to respond. When we got into the restaurant we were told how it works (we all eat together and what the courses were). The BYOB is such a great idea and we were even given a wine cooler for our bottle. Food was gorgeous, especially the pasta dish and the tiramisu which were to die for! All-in-all we will definitely come back again, I can imagine it’s even better in the summer. Thanks again Secret Italian 💕

Me and my partner were lucky enough to get a cancellation. I'd heard about it and read the reviews so we were looking forward to it and we were not disappointed! My partner is a vegetarian and it's a set menu so he was a bit apprehensive. However, he enjoyed every single dish and so did I...could not fault anything! The dessert is a Tiramisu and I've never been a fan but I have to say that was one of the best desserts I've ever had! The service was outstanding from start to finish, especially Jana who cooked and spoke to every customer in between...she is amazing!

Went there last night. Managed to get a last minute table for two after a cancellation. Definitely out of the way and the place is tint. Fourteen covers. We were sat next to the door. It's unique. Never experienced dining like it. So small that you had to tak to other tables. But that was one of the joys. Got there just before seven. Normally takes about an hour to have a meal at other restraunts, maybe hour and a quarter.3 hours. We were eating just after seven and left at ten. Margaret, the owner, gave us a ten minute break. And did we need it it. The food was fresh, plentiful and very tasty. From the olives to start to the dessert to end. Set menu, which I was a little dubious about at first. But they had planned it perfectly. Took our own beer and wine, also a bonus. Margaret is obviously very proud of the place and so she should be. Continuous banter and information all night but not in your face. Really recommend this. Won't disclose the cost but would have paid more. Actually saw the food being cooked. Very good and welcoming place. It's a culinary experience. Get it booked when you...

The third time at the Secret Italian. It is advisable to book well in advance otherwise you probably cannot get in. There is a set menu consisting of anti pasti, pasta, main meal with side and dessert. The cost is currently £35.00 per person and is excellent value for what you are served and you also need to bear in mind that you do not have to pay for expensive wines and beers as you are invited to bring your own. The Secret Italian do not stock drinks (except water) so make sure you have your own. My faves are the anit pasti (meat, mozarella, meatballs etc) and also theTiramisu. Margaret is the ameniable host with a couple of ladies working hard in the kitchen,. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is enough parking for every diner in the building. Dining time is 7pm and you'll be finshed at approx 9.30-10pm. All in all nothing to moan about. A...

What a fabulous evening this turned out to be. I'd heard so much about it, and the danger is that when you hear great things about a place, your expectations are raised, and it can so easily be a disappointment. Not a bit of it! Wonderful food, beautifully prepared and presented, seven dishes over four courses, from Antipasti, via Pasta, chicken and veg main, to the most exotic and quite frankly, the most scrummy tiramisu you'll find anywhere. Save yourself a fortune by taking your own alcohol / soft drinks, where the corkage, bottle openers, glasses and ice are provided free, and the next two and a half hours disappear in a warm glow of sheer enjoyment. Took three friends with me, who all agreed the experience was wonderful. Brilliant atmosphere, and absolutely spotless, including the toilet facilities. I'll be back, and...
