Cosmos Pizza & Kebab — Restaurant in Basildon

The staff know nothing about hygiene , never seen one wash their hands despite touching their faces, having a cigarette, touching their hair , rubbing their nose etc, then unbelievably handling food.!!! Food not stored properly and if even slightly busy it's often not cooked properly, and one day someone is going to end up hospitalised. The owner manager extremely rude couldn't care less about complaints, if you complain directly to her she'll ban you from coming back . So to summarize.... hygiene zero cleanliness of working areas - 1000. safety of eating hot food -10000, politeness to customers -500 cleanliness of internal eating areas -1000. tables rarely wiped and even when they are, it's with a dirty cloth. Unless you have a cast-iron stomach, or don't mind having salmonella or food poisoning, plus you don't care about being spoken to like a cross between an enemy, an idiot or an unwanted nuisance, if that isn't you then avoid like the plague , this place is a disaster waiting to happen eating here is like playing Russian Roulette with a loaded gun in fact that's probably safer thing to do.better still order from Up the Road they are a million times more polite, safe, hygienic, dilligent, food prepared fresh not from frozen, staff polite and helpful. Ordered & was told by telephonist it would be half an hour to 40 mins 1 hour later I phoned to enquire where my order was she then informed me it would be with me in about another 5 mins, I said I was unhappy with the service & was told it was not there fault as they got busy ( surely my order should of been being prepared) I said so do I get a voucher or something for the poor service she went to ask someone I could clearly hear what was being said she came back & said no as it wasn't there fault hmm whose was it then ? I asked for her name & surprise surprise she put the phone down on me this was 8.10pm Saturday 2/5/15 when the food did arrive it was just luke warm we ordered the Hawaiian there was no ham only about 4 bits of pineapple also had garlic bread which was only just luke warm absolutely terrible we will never order from these again they used to be very good what happened because they def are not now please take this as a warning hate you to go through what we have tonight we spent £15.50 tonight total waste of money wish we had gone to farm foods or Iceland & done it our selves we would have enjoyed it a lot more we all work hard for our money & there are plenty of other pizza places out there far better than these no wonder these places are going out of business...

Had a bad experience with this "restaurant" a few times. I only order because it's the only place open early hours. I don't ever expect much however tonight they have out done themselves.

When ever I order I can guarantee it takes 10 minutes minimum to order because they have us on hold for 5 minutes where I can Hear their conversations. And once again for the 3rd time in a row, they forgot half of our order. It's not hard to put four items of food in a bag.

And again GURANTEED!!!! Your food never EVER comes in the time they say it will.

Called to tell him the food was missing. No apology, told me they will send it. Waited, took too long so tried to call to cancel it. Ignored our many phone calls. Tried calling on another phone, picked up straight away. So obviously ignored us. Told them we no longer wanted the missing food as it took too long. No apology, no mention of a refund. And then hung up.

I always try to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but this was he last time I will ever order from them. They are a disgrace.
