OMG Desserts Basildon — Restaurant in Basildon

Ordered from this place many times and loved it. I’ve realised that they’ve greatly reduced their portion size and quality. Their delivery times are also awful and my husband also experienced a very rude delivery driver. On the portion size- you now get a very thin layer of cookie dough with loads of chocolate shavings which gives the illusion of height. Waffles aren’t topped with the usual amount of toppings we are used to getting. It’s said considering we love to support local businesses.

If quality declines and you can afford to close the store front (which hasn’t been open for a long time) then I suggest you do in order to improve the quality of your product. You will continue losing customers if this continues.

I highly do not recommend this restaurant. After reading the reviews and looking at the photos I was so excited. When we came in, the whole place was empty and a terrible smell accompanied us throughout our whole experience. I ordered a freak shake. The only good thing about it was the little amount of cookie dough. The glazed donut was really hard and tasted funny and off. I have never tasted such a flavourless milkshake. The plate was not washed properly, was really scratched and had dust on it. I believe all the positive reviews are by people who work there. I really wish I was exaggerating how bad it is. Absolutely LOVE this place. I'm a regular, don't have much money ever which is why I like that it's fairly cheap. I always get a biscoff n white chocolate donut, they never fail to give the perfect amount of topping, n the drinks are just as divine. Every sip like heaven. The staff are so lovely too, even when it's busy they're so polite. N the atmosphere, I like the dark setting, it's much better than something bright n eye straining. Seats are comfy n sometimes I just eat in. The music is the perfect volume. Overall it's a 10/10 n the only improvement I can think of...
