Sushi and Bento Basildon — Restaurant in Basildon

I have never been to the restaurant so I can't comment on what it is like. However me and my partner have ordered take out from here twice, we are both vegetarians, so we ordered the "Tofu Teriyaki Bento Box" both times, it is labelled as Vegetarian on the site we ordered from. This comes with Rice, Tofu, Edamame beans and two Gyozas. The first time we ordered, they gave us Chicken Gyozas instead of the Vegetable Gyozas, mistakes happen, but it did put us off the rest of the food. Some months past as we thought we would try it again... We ordered the same again and again they gave us Chicken Gyozas instead of Vegetable Gyozas, it happened again, months apart, which means they must honestly swap out the Vegetable Gyozas and instead place the Chicken ones in their place for whatever reason, in the hopes that the person eating them at the other end doesn't notice, which for me is extremely bad practice... If you are vegetarian or vegan and you are reading this then I would probably order from somewhere else as it seems they clearly aren't fussed about your dietary requirement's and if you do, maybe check before you...

Not a bad place, I do however think it could be better. The first time I ordered I got a chicken teriyaki bento box and I thought it had too many edamames and the teriyaki sauce was pretty watery, the buns were OK but the beef was a bit hard (it seemed to have cubes of beef which I found odd)

The 2nd time I ordered, I got a katsu curry which was quite nice, but the curry sauce was a little too watery, the chicken was nice though. The bubble tea... the cup used meant that there wasn't much in it (because of dome) it looked underwhelming, and the tapioca pearls aren't cooked enough and have that grainy sort of texture when bitten into rather than the soft chewiness that they should have. Have ordered from here a collective of three times now and unfortunately been disappointed all 3.

First meal for myself and my partner was a Chicken Katsu curry, Teriyaki Bento box and a Teriyaki Bun. While the bun and the box was fantastic the chicken in the Katsu was undercooked to the point it was inedible. Second meal was 2 chicken curry ramen with a Chicken Karage Bun. Both of the ramens were lacking with barely any filling and again the Chicken in the Karage was raw. Willing to give it a final try we tried a third time getting another Karage Bun and a Teriyaki Bento box, unsurprisingly the Chicken was raw again.

While I would love to like this place on three separate occasions have we gotten undercooked pink chicken and will not be...
