The Chequers is a wonderful showcase of how best to adjust a pub to a pandemic.

I've visited The Chequers a few of times when I've come down to visit my family near Billaricay, and each one has been an identical 10/10 experience. The staff are happy and competent, everything is clean, and there's still so much atmosphere in a bar that is adhering to every single COVID restriction.

I will admit, I had never been here in the before-times, but I'm definitely looking forward to visiting Kath's place once things...

The place was awesome. Incredible atmosphere for a early Saturday afternoon. Super busy but quick service and lovely staff. Decent prices. Lucky to be able to get a table space and relax. Gets very loud but guess that due to everyone shouting over each other. Apparently 'Strictly 21's' but there were several children and babies on site. Beautiful venue and loved the addition of various artists paintings of the building and local area dotted...
