First took ages to be served had to ask, 5 waiters was standing around doing nothing. Eventually when served the food came the waiter to my shock held all the plates in the air for us to take one by one didn’t even put down on the table could feel the bad energy already I don’t know why. Front door was wide open on this chilly day it was raing only just earlier, I asked kindly for the door to close please I got no response I got ignored. She went straight to the manager and I noticed she replied to her whispering its hot looked my way i felt extremely bad as if i committed a crime. That’s when I questioned in my head is it for the customer or the waiter etc manager, i then had to ASK AGAIN which eventually the door was shut. from there on I couldn’t eat no more my stomach was feeling down. I felt got really bad service today I don’t know why when the man usually here his great service but today terrible I didn’t see one smile at all not that I'm expecting one but very miserable looking ladies serving on a Saturday today extremely rude and we will nit be coming back again the food might be good but if the service is no it there forget it .this cafe ruined my start of the day. Had a terrible here this morning. Came for a Father’s Day breakfast and my dad ordered “dippy eggs” off the menu. They turned up hard boiled. When complained there was no effort to rectify the error and the manager blamed it on the machine saying “that’s how they come out the machine”. The cafe is clearly aware of how the eggs are cooked and shouldn’t call them “dippy eggs” if they are in fact hard boiled. I ordered the vegan ciabatta which was not what I expected - it was just a mountain of raw spinach on the plate with some mushrooms which were dry and clearly just left out and around 3 cherry tomatoes, with the bread just thrown on top. This also came out around 8-10 minutes after the rest of the table received their breakfast so I ended up eating on my own.

When we walked in the staff were really lovely. They are obviously busy in here as it's one of the best places you can come for breakfast with a dog in Billericay. So they sat us in the outside area out the back with the heaters on and took our drinks order while we waited for a table.

When we were sat down inside, we got our drinks straight away. The staff were also very friendly with our little dog, it's clear they are all big fans of dogs.

The food was excellent, not overpriced, and tasty. The coffee was lovely, and we had 2 smoothies to go and they were also very nice. Can't fault here at all. Thank you very much.
