Signage stated that the"barista" makes coffee to order. A special offer was coffee and a cake at £2.50. I asked for a Portuguese tart from the display and a cappuccino and was informed that it would be brought to my table. How long does it take to brew a coffee? I waited for a long time. I didn't time it but I estimate that it was for more than ten minutes. The Portuguese tart was as expected and very tasty. The coffee was virtually undrinkable. In appearance and flavour it was like a cup of cheap instant coffee with, what may have been, chocolate powder sprinkled over. I had been anticipating a pleasant beverage but after a couple of sips, because I could hardly believe the first taste, I left the remainder. I didn't have time to complain and wait for another brew and left entirely disappointed. Went to get our drinks, just at lot of frothy milk, no chocolate had been put in the machine, not a great start, now to find a clean table, could be a new game, as most had not been cleared. When the meal did come, even items that were meant to be in stock were missing, even the toast we paid extra for was not there, so had to go back and say. The food was of poor standard and must have been cooked a while, as only slightly warm. The restaurant was nearly empty at lunch time, so can't put this down to being to busy. Dirty tables are never good, so Morrisons not very good, your say it's a franchise. But it's still...
