The Fairfield Arms — Restaurant in Bath

It was new years tonight and we were refused service by a shaved head looking bloke at the bar whilst other people were being served drinks. He said it was because we came in from “other bars” around Bath. One, so what if we did. Two, we came straight from dinner and fireworks for a drink before we called it a night. I do believe it boiled down to racism and they were serving everyone else. We were sober and we were acting with class and decorum so to be treated like this, that’s the only thing I can boil it down to. It’s a shame as previous visiting this pub by myself without my POC friends I had a positive experience which further makes me think this is the true reason of the issue. Wouldn’t recommend coming here and certainly won’t be coming here again which is a real shame as I live around the corner and used to have a positive opinion of this place....

Wow, what can I say - we just had a Sunday roast here and have been blown away!! Dog friendly pub with the best decorations and amazing food. We had a huge dinner of roast chicken and vegetable moussaka. Delicious and great value for money. Chris and Jamie are lovely, friendly and welcoming owners who couldn't do enough for us. Absolutely fantastic local pub! The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic! Run by a friendly couple who always make me and everyone else feel welcome! One particular highlight to note… their beer garden is amazing… a spectacular floral delight… worth a visit in the summer (pick a sunny day and enjoy a beer in it)!
