26 West Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Belfast

First visit the chef refused to heat chicken for the ceaser salad, which arrived with tomatoes on it, anyone who knows what they are talking about knows a ceaser salad does not contain tomatoes. When we asked for black pepper it was done for us..by staff holding some giant grinder at you and waiting until you say when. The second visit..food ordered only to be told fifteen minutes later that starters ordered was not available then once reorder was taken our mains arrived with our starters! Was not good quality tbh, you could tell the kitchen cudnt be annoyed taking the time to finish plates. Chips were not fully cooked through.. the filling of panini was very poor and when we asked for mayo for the table..they brought us garlic mayo when were almost finished! Really disappointed. Seems like a place good for there burgers and a pint before cinema. Would not recommend to a friend...

Accidentally left my expensive phone at the counter when I was paying the bill and someone stole it. After 20 minutes I realised I hadn't got my phone and rang it only for it to be turned off. I immediately went back to 26 West restaurant and spoke to the manager, told him I had left it on the counter and could he check cctv. He told me only the owner has access to that and he would contact me ASAP. Anyway I reported my phone as stolen to the police and they contacted 26 West restaurant to gain access to the cctv. The police were told that the cctv footage in the restaurant is automatically deleted after 24hrs. The police man who I dealt with told me that is quite ridiculous as most places of business have a 31 day deletion policy. So that's a £1100 phone lost and no thanks to any help from the 26 West restaurant. Shame cause I ate there quite often, but...

Been going here for years but really disappointed in our recent visit. Knowledge of allergens was so low and my food still arrived with items I'm allergic to on it. Got sick that night so I know they just took them off and put the food on another plate instead of giving fresh. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks then a further 15 mins before our food order was taken so we weren't eating until we had been in the place over an hour and it wasn't even busy. The seats upholstery was so badly ripped it was uncomfortable to sit on. Our cutlery was put on the table with hands touching the tops not the handles. The food wasn't nice at all and clearly made from reheated pre-made bought in packets. Would like to see the restaurant stay in the community,...
