Visited costa on a whim this morning to catch breakfast after a night shift, when we arrived the store manageress was standing in the way taking pictures and we had to wait to get past. When we ordered and paid by card the barista put an extra item on our tray, we assume we paid for it as he didnt hand us our receipt. When the other barista was getting our tea she handed us dirty costa glasses, they were stinking, when we asked for new ones she had to look through all of the glasses until she found one that was half decent....never mind the cutlery! Then lastly when out hot sandwiches arrived the member of staff never smiled or had any kind of catering hospitality.....was a terriable...
Read moreI love Costa coffee and this is my local so to speak. It can be quite busy during peak times of the day but that adds to a good atmosphere. I'm giving it three stars because I feel that some of the staff can have a bit of an attitude sometimes but not always. If I've ever had an issue with my purchase it's very rarely met with happy understanding faces and more of 'are you serious stares'. This could be down to the fact that it gets quite busy at times but for me it takes away from the pleasant easy experience I am used...
Read moreWent for a coffee/hot chocolate yesterday and was shocked to be told we could only have a takeaway cup as short staff. So in other words not wanting to have to do the dishes, bearing in mind there were 3 staff and not overly busy. Didn’t get offered a spoon nor was I offered a plate for sandwich. Think considering we pay taxes to sit in we should be entitled to a proper cup/crockery/cutlery. Watching an elderly couple eat from a napkin is just a disgrace.
