Cosmo is fantastic for those looking to get their fill of food. Whenever we're in Northern Ireland we always make sure we book in a trip to Belfast so we can indulge the hunger beast at Cosmo. They have a great selection of food including Chinese, Indian, pizzas, 'british' deep fried (chips, nuggets, sausages etc), sushi, freshly fried meats, chicken and seafood as well as an assortment of desserts (my photos don't do the variety justice). On the topic of desserts I'll be upfront from the start, you're not going to return to Cosmo for the puddings alone. They are very much of the cheaper variety and by no means high quality. However, they're probably every child's sugary dream. Back to the mains/sides. At the end of the day it is a buffet, so don't expect fine dining standards. It is however very fresh, tasty and plentiful; all the things a good buffet should be. As mentioned above, there are some food items which are cooked freshly, on demand. I don't tend to go for these ase my experience of using them in the past is you have to wait a while (only like 5-10 minutes, but when there's delicious smelling food all around you this feels like an age) and in my opinion it's not as tasty as the other food on offer, so why wait. The staff are very friendly and there are plenty of them darting about topping up the trays and clearing away your used plates. We normally opt for the soft drinks with free refills which include the normal selection of fizzy drinks. I think the food and drinks are is priced reasonably for what you get. Also worth baring on mind, you get a 2 hour window. This is enough for the average diner, but if you were planning a party/dragged out catch up session you may want to plan for a destination to move on to. Summing up, I have been to Cosmo in Belfast probably half a dozen times or more and never been disappointed. On each occasion I have gone in excited and with high expectations only to leave an hour and a half later feeling very sick but with a smile on my face and is that not what all you can eat is about? It is one of those restaurants that I tell people about everytime I've been to it and always recommend. If you like your food, you'll love Cosmo.

My family and I recently indulged in a delightful dining experience at Cosmo in Belfast. As we stepped inside, the vibrant atmosphere immediately caught our attention. The tantalizing aroma of various cuisines filled the air, promising an exciting culinary journey. The food variety was astounding. From sushi rolls to succulent sirloin steaks, the buffet spread catered to every palate. I couldn't resist sampling a bit of everything—the crispy duck, the fragrant curries, and the freshly made dim sum. The indian section, with its butter chicken and butter naan, transported me to the streets of kochi. Despite the crowded dining area, the service remained commendable. Our server, juggled multiple tables with grace, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates always replenished. Her friendly demeanor added to the overall warmth of the experience. However, the bustling ambiance did have its drawbacks. Finding a quiet corner proved challenging, especially during peak hours. But perhaps that's the price to pay for such an extensive culinary adventure. In summary, Cosmo Buffet is a good option for food enthusiasts seeking variety. It's not about Michelin stars; it's about abundance and exploration. Prices are reasonable, ranging is about £15.00 per person. If you're ready to embark on a flavor-packed journey, gather your loved ones and head to Cosmo! 😊

We made a reservation for dinner. What a terrible idea. Arrived 10 mins before our booking to find the place queued out the door to the entrance of Frankie and Benny's. Almost everyone in the queue had a booking but were still waiting 45 mins in the freezing cold to be seated. At this point all other restaurants in Victoria Square were booked out so we decided to wait. Finally got seated 50 mins after our booking was made for. But the staff were bringing in walk ins even though the booked tables hadnt been seated. Didn't make any sense. Wish I had just left. The food was bad quality. The only section that was ok was the Chinese food. The pizza, sushi, Indian etc were all horrific. The place was so busy you could barely move and we had to take our own plates to a big caddy to be taken to the kitchen as staff were so overwhelmed they didn't have time to. No knives or forks on the tables either and when we asked for then we were told to grab them ourselves. Will not be back

Updated 2024.05.15 We came here to check out the buffet of this place on a weeknight prominately displayed at the entrance priced at £19.99, depending on the day of week, higher on weekends and holidays. There is a greeter at the entrance in constant communications with staff upstairs. There is a lift for those who are not able to handle the stairs. The lift is manual and cannot be called from the first level, the button must be kept depressed the whole time to keep the lift in motion.

Someone greeted us once upstairs, determines how many in the party, and inquire what you wish to drink, tap water is provided without charge, and refill yourself as often as needed. Adding any drinks other than water will increase your final tab. Staff will come by to remove your empty dirty plates constantly, cleaning and resetting the empty tables. There is a vast variety of different foods from different regions of the world.

The limited amount of steamed Chinses dim sum were mostly good, while the vast selection of Chinese dishes were mildly subpar, as it was for most of their other various steamed choices, less than wonderful. The steamed pork bun was there much too long. Any of the chicken dishes tasted dry, overcooked protein.

The grill station and the Italian station were with better quality. The pepperoni pizza I thought was good, garlic bread, carrot soup was excellent from the Italion station.

The grill station offered a choice of different meats or seafood to grill for the customer, a limit of two choices at a time, but may return as often as you wish till the closing time of the station, 45 minutes prior to the restaurant closing time. I chose sirloin steak rare and pork belly, seasoned with salt and pepper. Both were very good. Salmon is available only on Saturdays, at a higher price.

Several items at the various food stations were dark as they were out or didn't bother to refill. Coming earlier rather than towards the end of their opening hours would be recommended.

The dessert station offers a variety of options, cakes, ice cream. I scooped up chocolate ice cream which was very tasty but left my hand covered ice cream from handling the scoop with no real convenient way to get it clean except by dipping my hand into the partially melted ice surrounding the chilled desserts. There's an orange squared shaped dessert that I didn't note down what that was, it was particurlarly good tasting, better than the black forest cake that I thought would have tasted better than it did.

Recommended dining here provided that you're smart going about what to consume after an overview visit. The grill station, the Italian station with its carrot soup, the wonderful orange square dessert, the chocolate ice cream, but use a paper napkin to handle the scoop. Go stragetically and you'll enjoy dining here much better if I should make my way at another of their COSMO buffets. It's not all good, but mostly supar, however certain aspects are better than the others. Pick the best, leave the rest.

Try to be done and out before the grill station closes, and the crowd drops and the food is less likely to be replenished, and the queue can be long waiting to cash out. Improving their service at cashing out, especially apparent when a long queue forms to check out is to have two or three cashiers instead of just one, minus one star for that.

Most reviewers seems to score places that are adequate a five instead of a three. I am generous in scoring a place adequate a three as that what it really deserves or a...

Just visited with a pre-booked table for 13 people. (Sunday, 3:45 pm which google says its usually a little busy)

Food: Plenty to choose from, and the food that was available was good. However, it was very difficult to identify what was suitable for vegetarians. It’s a buffet setup, but the atmosphere is rushed and stressful, and there are no clear labels for vegetarian dishes. They have small allergy labels with checkboxes, but the text is tiny, smudged, and hard to read—especially in the poor lighting. It doesn’t feel safe or clear for anyone with dietary needs.

Service: Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We requested a quieter seating area due to disabilities in the group, and they initially said it could be arranged. Instead, we were placed in a loud, crowded area. When we explained that the placement didn’t work for us and asked to move to an empty corner table, the server rudely refused. Only after speaking with the manager were we finally moved.

When asked how many glasses we needed, it took them 15 minutes to bring any, including drinks for the kids. During that time, we couldn’t even begin eating. I had to ask four different staff members just to get the glasses. Considering they later asked us to leave because they "needed the table," wasting 15 minutes of our time just waiting to be served made it even worse.

Accessibility & Environment: The entrance is extremely crowded, with people and prams packed into the hallway. For anyone in a wheelchair or needing more space, it’s very difficult to get through. There’s a small lift that barely fits one person, and the layout makes it feel chaotic and poorly thought out for accessibility.

Overall: Terrible service, poor accessibility, unclear food labeling, and a stressful atmosphere. Definitely not a pleasant dining experience. Save your money—grab your favourite takeout instead. It’ll taste just as good, and you’ll actually be able to relax and...
