This pub does NOT have any facilities to allow a disabled person to go to the toilet.
This information should be shown clearly on the entrance door and at the bar - prior to them taking your money or serving you drinks and food.
Their disability accessible toilet is broken and they have not fixed it, month after month after month. They happily take your money as a disabled person but will not provide facilities for you to go to the toilet.
They would not be able to do this to able bodied people. They would be closed down by Belfast City Council.
The last time I was in this bar ( a month ago) the toilet was like the loo from Train Spotting. Then the lovely staff member said the toilet was always broken and management had no interest in getting it fixed. She put bleach down the loo to at least make it usable but it was grotesque. At least she tried and she said she would speak to management to get it fixed. Sadly I believed her.
This bar has zero interest in improving facilities to disabled customers. If they did their facilities would be usable. No other bar in town faces these problems.
I note this is the first message in forever on this review page that the bar has replied to.
The bar man tonight said during the entire time he had been back - months and weeks - the disabled toilet had NOT been fixed.
This is appalling behaviour - this is far from a disability friendly pub. If this were an important issue for the Garrick it would have been fixed. This bar is not a disability friendly venue. This bar is not...

On 3 or so occasions I have patiently waited service at the bar - giving eye contact to any bar staff remotely looking my way before they finish serving their current customer, then after a couple of mins of kind of being ignored, female punters approach the bar almost beside me and get served right away!?
On each of these very similar occasions it was male bar staff that were guilty (surprise surprise) and it was so blatant and annoying, that on one recent visit, I marched out and passed on my views to the doorman. Who incidentally told me he had heard similar complaints before?? Anyway, leaving it at that I took my business elsewhere.
I popped in again yesterday after feeling good after the Glens victorious match against Coleraine, and was served promptly by a friendly female staff member. The place was choca at the time, but this did not delay my service.
The male staff who I had mentioned - kind of missed a trick, as I always tip before leaving..that is if I deem they deserve one.🤷
The Jailhouse & Muriel's bars have great service & never miss - my trick💰👌.
Garrick needs a wee drop of retraining - otherwise I will maybe have to buy a blonde wig, high heels, some lippy...
