I rarely go to Burger Kings as there aren't as many locations compared with their competition, and also none near enough to my house to make it convenient. However, I was passing during a shopping trip and thought 'why not?' This location has a drive through, but instead I parked up and chose to eat in. I ordered a Double Whopper meal. The cost was £7-something, probably closer to £8 in total. The prices are quite high compared to their competition, but all prices are clearly visible on the big menu boards, so it doesn't come as a complete shock when it's time to cough up the dough. This location seems to be slightly understaffed, as are most retail premises nowadays (cost cutting measures). Waiting to be served took several minutes as there was only one person on the tills, and she was performing other jobs too. Surprisingly, I only had an approximate five-minute wait for the food. It could have been longer as I really want keeping an eye on the time, but it certainly didn't feel longer. I arrived at approximately 6:30pm and it wasn't overly busy. There was a family of approximately five people already seated and enjoying their food and on another table a father and daughter. There were two customers standing near the tills whose order had already been taken. I had a regular-sized meal. The cup for the drink and the portion size of the fries is smaller compared to their main competitor, but I didn't mind too much today as I'm supposed to be watching my calorie intake! The Double Whopper itself was exquisite. The lettuce, tomato and onions were fresh and tasty. The two patties were succulent and tasty and the bun soft. The sauce (not sure what it was exactly) inside the burger balanced the texture and taste very well indeed. A thoroughly enjoyable burger. The gulf in taste between this and the competitors is definitely vast. I wonder if there were more locations and more competitive prices just how popular BK would actually be! I'm using a new phone and forgot to download the BK app, otherwise I may have been able to use a coupon. Bear that in mind for the next...
Read moreServed by Faizan who didn't complete my order properly. He had taken all the bus tickets as opposed to the 3 items I'd ordered and charged me full price at £5.97.
Upon returning to the store after collecting my partner 20 mins later missing a chicken royale burger, Ash the manager did not acknowledge me standing in front of him for approx 3 min before walking off. There was no "bare with me whilst I get someone to serve you", "just a min," or a nod which I had to ask another member of staff if he was the manager!
Ash was very rude and accused me of lying about not receiving my burger and said that the burger would still be in the tray only 20 min ago if I'd not received it. I told him to check cctv and that I wasn't provided with a receipt and was left disgusted at his overall attitude toward my complaint and lack of interest and Faizan who served me. It was more out of principal rather than the price as ut isn't the first time ordering from the branch to get back only to find items missing.
I then went onto the fact that we were greeted by at least 5 gigantic rats comfortably walking, yes not running around the drive through and I was told it was not their problem and they can only control what's in the store. I said that surely first impressions are lasting impressions and can't pest control be put into place as it isn't good for your business as customers approach your drive through only to be greeted by vermin which I as the customer would reflect on the building itself.
I've always much preferred the quality of food at burger King over mc Donald's for fast food but unfortunately that has now changed and I certainly won't be in a hurry to order from here again or burger King for...
Read moreMy visit to this Burger King was extremely disappointing. This particular location is arguably the worst I've ever encountered. The overall atmosphere was messy and dirty, with a car park that resembled a derelict land. Overgrown bushes and neglected surroundings added to the dismal ambiance. The staff seemed unresponsive, lacking in hospitality and attentiveness. But the biggest letdown was the food. It was not only cold and stale but also tasted as if it had been cooked in old, unchanged oil. I added cheese to the royal burger & it was hard & cold like the burger had been sitting there for a very long time & they opened it up to add som cheese. The quality was far below expectations, making for an unpleasant dining experience. Adding to the discomfort, occasional sightings of rats scurrying around the car park were disturbing and concerning. Overall, I strongly advise against visiting this Burger King location. It's best to avoid it altogether for a more satisfying and sanitary dining...
