Recommended by the mechanic who MOT'd my car. I never knew this place was here and I live local. It looks small from the outside but it was quite roomy. Large, clean tables with loads of room so people won't knock you. My table was spotless as was the cutlery and conderments, when customers left the staff came out to clean and clear very quickly. All the staff were polite, chatty and helpful and brought your piping hot food to your table. The food was very good and cooked just right and there was plenty of it, it is also cheap. There is a fantastic variety of choices of both food and drinks, they served three sizes from children's to large meals, they were also happy to do add-ons or leave things off for you, they were happy to do dietary requirements if needed. They not only served in house but phone a head takeaways, walk in takeaway and they delivered too. The place was very busy, a constant flow of takeaway custom and tables were in constant use. A lot of workmen stopped and many were frequent users as there was some good banter between them and the staff but there were even a number of young children and families who gave it a great atmosphere. There is a small car park at the front but I couldn't see any disabled spaces. There were also toilets but I never used them so I can't describe them to you. What a gem of a place! I've visited a few of the cafe's in the Erdington & Castle Brom area & this is by far one of the best. Very clean and well presented set up with a good choice of breakfast & meal options at a reasonable price. As for the drinks......wow, what a selection! Various coffee, tea, smoothies & frappes to choose from you'll probably spend more time deciding what to drink rather than eat. I plumped for the Farmhouse breakfast along with a Mocha. Everything was perfect for me, so much so that I had to order another Mocha. The highlight of my visit though was the wonderful friendly service from all of the staff. Used to love this place and use it all the time. Called up today and the woman on the other end of the phone could barely understand anything I was asking. She then asked me what's next and as I was telling her, I could hear her talking to someone else. I asked her if she got that one and she said 'no I was serving different customer' even though shes on the phone trying to take an order. No apology though obviously. We then collected the food and they've charged and gave us 6 sandwiches even though we ordered 5. 2 of the sandwiches were wrong, toast was rock hard and we asked for sauce on all the sandwiches but there dry as a bone.
