Burraq restaurant — Restaurant in Birmingham

Today was the opening day 6th March 2023 and they have a half price offer I saw advertised for today and tomorrow 7th March 2023 so I decided to go here today and try it out as it looked very good from outside and decor is spot on. It's my nephews birthday today so I took him and my son and we had difficulty finding parking first of all as it's at the back which I went but had parking signs which seemed dodgy so I came out and parked outside someone's house on the road 2 mins away. Location is in the corner and near a main roundabout and can be seen easily from a distance. I had to wait very long in the que over 2 hours as there were many people and some jumping ques with others. The staff were very friendly and particularly this gentleman and few inside very hospitable. As our turn came to eat I was disappointed with some items missing on the menu as they were finished sheesh kebabs and its sheesh curry and few other items listed but menu was its decent and it was fresh and tasty but I really think the price is overpriced for £22 per head but today and tomorrow its half price which is £11. The restaurant is beautifully furnished- decorated giving a very cosy atmosphere. The service is excellent and attention to details is at a high standard. Very friendly staff. Portions are just the right size and it is really good value for money for delicious food! Big choice on the menu including generous mocktails and deserts. Prayer room available. No loud background sound which makes it a peaceful experience. Advised to call in advance to know if its buffet day or just the menu. It is the best Asian restaurant so far in Birmingham with reasonable prices for a big family and a beautiful setting ! Nice surroundings and a decent range of curries and rices to choose from. The staff were very attentive and were quick to take away used plates. There was also a small selection of foods such as chicken nuggets and pizza slices for kids. The starters and main meals were all buffet style but the desserts were served from behind a counter and the range was limited. I sampled a range of curries and rice and was impressed with all of them. I honestly think that the food itself is value for money (I have easily spent more than £20 per head for an Indian meal with all the trimmings). I will go again to try the curries I missed the...
