Greggs — Restaurant in Birmingham

Has gone completely downhill. I USED to be a loyal customer. I have noticed standards slipping around spring, the atmosphere feels very tense amongst staff and everything seems like it’s a hodgepodge of a rush. Bakes will come out almost charred and there is a weird smell as soon as you walk through the doors. The outside areas are always decently cleaned but could be more thoroughly cleaned throughout the day. Any drinks not on the standard menu are completely hit or miss either tasting okay or like slightly flavoured water. Staff, particularly the older crowd have become snappy and hostile and over all seem devastated to be serving when they are not lurking in the backgrounds. Hot food is often stale or has tell tale signs of being left out under a hot canopy for a while (dryness and bland flavours) all things that have only been happening as of late. It’s really sad as I have loved being a customer here for its whole opening journey (even when it was closed more than it was open). I wish things could change but now I am voting with my Wallet and rewards app and will be taking my free bakes and cold drinks elsewhere. This place is needs immediate attention. Firstly, the old lady, (on the left) who is a manager is unfit for the job. An uber driver came in to pick up an order and was dismissed. The old lady mentioned that the order was not prepared. When asked why the order wasn't prepared the old lady said she forgot about the uber trips and she did not see the receipt that came printed out the machine. The old lady further mentioned to wait another 20 minutes for a mistake that she made. The old lady showed no sign of good customer service and must have hearing issues as the uber machine beeps when an order is placed. This place is run by lazy staff and I want to see another manager given the opportunity to run this place. It's a shame to see such potential go to waste, no one wants to be greeted with...

The service was shockingly disrespectful. The 2 female servers working behind the counter to get our Uber eats collection order were incredibly rude and racially discriminated against my friend. Their tone and service was very hurtful and I was very shocked and disappointed. I would like this complaint to get escalated regarding the 2 female servers working at the store, as it makes me feel very uncomfortable to go there and I wouldn’t...
