Attended Great Barr Branch 2 weeks ago. Customer service leaves much to be desired. Have been a customer for years.On this occasion the main guy in charge was present. Due to issue on one past occasion I politely requested him to ensure that no pieces of meat ended up on the vegetarian pizza I ordered. He turned around and said he could not guarantee that. I accepted that and said to him that although there could be no cast iron guarantee as mistakes sometimes can arise I just wanted to make sure they did their best. I did not press the issue and was polite and friendly. His response was astonishing. He started handing me back my £20 note and said that I was putting him under too much pressure and that I should try Mr Singhs pizza which is an all vegetarian establishment. That statement in itself was shocking as it was quiet and staff did not appear to be run off their feet. He was signposting me to a competitor. Such a show of arrogance, like the customer does not matter at all. Have had this with this particular guy before. He almost wants to make you feel grateful for letting you be a customer. In fairness to other members of staff they have always been polite friendly and courteous and tend to be nervous when he is around. What about quality standards, customer standards let alone food safety. Why put vegetarian options on menu if too afraid and lack confidence in your own ability to live up to delivering it to quality assured standard. Sure would not get such arrogance from Dominos or pizza hut
Update: Few weeks later passing by and saw the same main guy looking at me through shop front window. For some reason I thought he may wish to apologise for his behaviour, so I went in. Boy was I mistaken, he demanded that I remove my review or he would not serve me. He did not even realise I did not want to be served. He was more interested in removing a negative review that exposed downright poor customer skills. If you can"t stomach the fall out from rightly deserved criticism then don't treat customers badly. Read moreConsidering I’ve been a regular since they first opened their receptionist jade thinks it’s ok to not confirm the address of where we will be at even though at the beginning of the call we stated the address as they do at the call. Instead sent to an old address of ours. So when the driver called, saying they’re here they wasn’t. We called back up, jade needs to fix up on her customer service skills, her attitude stinks, and she definitely doesn’t have great telephone communication skills and she needs to stop with the lies, when I was asking for the manager she first said he’s not there, there’s no one in charge, then she said his on a delivery, then said his on two deliveries so she dont know how long he’ll be, then magically he was there after 1 minute lol. Long story short, they tried to switch the story around how they don’t confirm addresses which is a lie. And they won’t be delivering. That’s fine. I mean last time I left them a bad review they called and asked me to take it down lol and they were sorry. Anyways 5 mins later I received a call from last saying would I like the food even though it wouldn’t be fresh it would be the one that went to the old address. Erm no thanks. I'm not as scared of you as your staff. Bad attitudes. Incredibly rude to my parents. Accused them of lying & theft. I've seen such dodgy dealings & aggressive behaviour by this place over the years. Straight up trouble makers.
EDIT Now they respond to try and defend themselves. My parents are gentle and over 60 years of age, never worked a dishonest day in their lives. My father does have an accent so he speaks louder for some to hear him. How dare you say be polite when my parents actually asked you to review the CCTV and they were publicly humiliated especially in front of your staff. You will continue to always think you are right. I will not take this review down and we will never be ordering from you again after many good years of doing so.
Your attitude and service is that bad you have the wrong incident it happens so often, they didn't even come in a car, we are locals to the area so they walked. You stunned my parents so much it took over a month for them to tell me this. Your own staff don't even like you & are scared of you - you need a serious reality check. Be ashamed...
