Mijan Balti Hut — Local services in Birmingham

Last night was the first time since COVID-19 began that I've had an Indian from this takeaway, they have definitely gone downhill. My so called Balti was completely tasteless (basically just water) and was horrible to eat, there's more taste in natural spring water. The garlic naan ended up being a plain naan, and I had to wait 50 minutes for the order even though I was collecting it myself, this Indian takeaway is only about 250 metres away from my house. If I had gone in and ordered it over the counter it would have taken 10-15 minutes, ridiculous.

Taste wise I personally believe that they have either had new cooks or are using different cheaper tasteless ingredients, as the food was diabolical with absolutely no bite and tested disgusting (too much water added).

Last night is the last time that I'll ever use this place (Mijan Balti Hut), what an absolute nightmare and a complete let down.

In the past I've ordered Chicken Balti with garlic naan multiple times from Mijan Balti Hut, but last night food was absolutely disgusting. It's a shame that their food have gone from nice and tasty to watery and tasteless.

They themselves wouldn't have eaten this garbage, so don't sell it...

Ordered delivery on their website, with an estimated time of 40-60 mins. It took 2 hours and 10 mins. I have ordered from here before without a problem and that is the only reason it is 2 stars and not 1. I can accept sometimes delays happen but over 2 hours from a place 0.3 miles (4 min drive) away is unacceptable. Phoned for an update after 70 mins of waiting, was told 15 mins (it was another hour), then told 10 mins (it was another 20). Pretty poor service, but the food was really good at least.

EDITED: I have now changed the service and overall to 4 stars as the Manager phoned me a day later to apologize and offer a generous partial refund. It was refreshing to have this and hear the agreement that if the staff member had provided accurate information then it would have been a lot easier to accept the delay. I recently ordered from Mijan Balti Hut and I have to say, it was by far one of the most delicious fantastic experience. The food arrived promptly, still hot and fresh, which is always a plus. I ordered a bunch of dishes including Chicken Tikka Achari, Mixed Vegetable Curry and 2 different Biryani’s they were all outstanding and absolutely delicious. The flavors were vibrant and the portion size was generous.

What really stood out was the attention to detail in the packaging; everything was secure and there were no spills. All dishes were perfectly cooked ingredients that made each bite a delight! 👌🏼

Overall, I highly recommend Mijan Balti Hut for anyone looking for restaurant quality food delivered right to their doorstep. I can't wait to...
