Since Lockdown, we have purchased takeaway orders for collection from here on 6 successive Friday evenings. We have starters and mains for 2 and usually a nan bread each. On one occasion we also bought food for friends who are shielding at present and delivered it to them on their doorstep; they also agreed with us about quality.
The arrangements for collection are very safe and easy; you order by telephone, they tell you exactly how long it will be and how much it will cost; then on arrival you call them again when you are outside and they will tell you to go up into the restaurant where your food is waiting, properly packaged; you pay and take it away with no contact. The only downside at present is they are accepting only cash payments - we try to have the exact money ready to avoid change, etc. Although we have collected; they are also providing a delivery service within reason - you will need to check with them the cost and delivery distance as I don't know this. What I do know is how polite and efficient they are in these trying circumstances.
We have tried a variety of meals and every one has been delicious with absolutely huge portions. We have only tried meat dishes, mainly chicken or lamb in various styles over different weeks, and we got a load of meat that tastes exactly how you expect it to. Many dishes come with salads and they do seem to be fresh. Everything is packaged into plastic tubs or silver foil for the nans. Over the years, we have tried a lot of Asian restaurants around the Quinton and Harborne areas as well as many other parts of the country on our travels; without doubt this is some of the nicest "Indian" food we have had. During lockdown we have also tried takeaway food from other "Curry Houses" locally, but without the same success. Once the lockdown and restrictions are over, we will be dining inside this restaurant for sure.
My only request for improvement would be for contactless...

We regularly eat in Indian restaurants every week [Bimingham] and fancied a change from the usual places e.g. Asha's, Praza, Pushkar, etc, and managed to book a night at this place on 12/11/22 after all the reviews, The place was OK and started off OK, although very noisy and the service levels were average.
Anyway, we ordered the usual and my wife ordered a Vegetarian samosa. The starters arrived and my wife almost vomited only to realize it was meat !!!!!!!!!!!! She is a VERY VERY strict Hindu and meat is an absolute NO-NO. She has never had meat.
The manager apologized several times etc and we accepted albeit we were upset, but then I lost it with the waiter who thought it was amusing towards the end when we came to settle up.
I have NEVER been so humiliated in my life and this led to a big argument in the restaurant. The waiter was arguing with me, saying it was not his fault and blaming everyone, but not accepting any responsibility himself. I understand he is not the chef, but passing blame is totally unacceptable.
We then left and I came back only a few seconds later [left my car keys] to find the manager talking behind our back and explaining the matter to other people in the restaurant, which really got me mad !!!! So I took over and explained the matter to his customers, who were equally shocked with what happened!!!!!!
I then really lost it !!!! The waiter took no responsibility and blamed the chef [ and everyone else - apart from the dog ] and said it happens and then started to laugh and giggle, which really wound me up!!!!!!!!!!! Sickening behavior.
Will definitely NOT be going ever again and they should seriously re-look at their procedures and staff - DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM THE STAFF. BE WARNED AND CHECK WHAT YOU ARE EATING...

I recently went to the restaurant with a group of friends, and the experience was one of the worst.
Firstly, the food was very bad—nowhere close to proper Indian cuisine.
The waiters were very rude and demeaning.
We ordered starters and a main course, but they served the main course before the starters. What a mess!
For some reason, we felt like we were treated differently than other customers.
Edited and added: My reply to your comments on my original review:
I didn't meet all your waiters, but we interacted with three, and all of them were rude. That's why my original review states 'all waiters'—it refers to all the waiters we met.
Here’s what happened with waiter:
We asked for three extra plates to share the starter, but the first waiter gave us only two and told us to use one of the starter plates instead. He was also hesitant to give us the plates, questioning why we needed them. The same waiter seemed annoyed when we requested a take-out box.
The second waiter was unhappy when we pointed out that he was serving the main course while we were still waiting for our starters. Even after we brought it to his attention, he didn’t take the dish back.
The third waiter got upset with us at the end because we pointed that, we had specifically asked for the food to be as spicy as possible, but it wasn't spicy at all.
Also, good job that you didn’t acknowledge the mix-up with the starters and main course in your...
