Went here on a Monday Morning after church service as I normally visit coffee shops nearby. I saw this coffee shop which serves breakfast last week. I tried reading the reviews and some are good and some negative.
I would love to give it a chance and try some of the dishes and coffee that I love.
Went in, there's a couple of tables available, ambience is good and there's music on. I came here off peak so Id know how wonderfully food is served and the staff are not on pressure.
I ordered Avocado on toast and flat white and I loved it.🥑😍 Flat white has a little burnt after taste, not too velvety as I want but I guess I have better standard of flat white. So im still okay with it.
Also, nice that they provided steak knife because, sourdough gets hard when I was chatting too much, tried using regular knife to cut the bread as i dont wanna hurt the plate🔪🍞🍽️.
Overall, its lovely place to have a morning meal . Thank you👍
Cheers👌
Edit 2 Ordered Bacon, Brie and Cranberries with Onion Chutney ofcourse and it was so good! Aside from me being hungry. The I had is good to share with greens on the side. It was served hot and cripsy toastie which I do love. Ordered flat white too but I think the price is higher than the 1st time I came here. £4 for a flat white is too much to be honest.
I tried their Iced matcha latte regular size, which is made with matcha packet(Thinking they would prepare a matcha tea using a special matcha tea ceremony with matcha brush etc) but Nah, So I want it with 1 espresso shot and regular milk so I know how creamy and tasty their ingredient would be.
Taste test: The matcha they got is not in good quality, if you are a matcha lover! You can taste the powder itself in your tongue. Nothing special about it really. Paid £6.
Note: You can download your magical stamp using an app. 1st time I used it and felt...
Read morePlace is lovely and very welcoming. Lots of seating upstairs and downstairs. Been many times now and always manage to find a seat. Kids area in the back, the kids are entertained with toys colouring and books so gives us time to enjoy the food cakes and coffee. Coffee is always spot on, hot and smooth like we like it. We get a large flat white so extra shots. Or the double espresso board which comes with some cream and cute mini cookie. Cakes are fresh made and always amazing. Cappuccino cake is a favourite while the kids like the cinnamon rolls and Reese's cake. Food can take a bit of time but that's because it's cooked fresh and can definitely tell. Their caramelized onion and goats cheese salad is amazing. Halloumi fries always well cooked and fried eggs on toast delicious as well. The fresh sourdough really makes all of their meals that much better. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Some people say it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and I rather pay slightly more for freshly baked bread and cakes, fresh veg and food with amazing taste and a lovely atmosphere. Price seems more than reasonable to me especially on harborne high street when across the road a mediocre pastry that wasn't even cooked through at...
Read moreLovely cakes as always but experience marred by off hand staff and grubby environment. You might be busy at points but there’s no excuse for grubby tables and used uncleared crockery. Clear them in between instead of chatting behind the counter! High chairs covered in food and filthy. A half hearted job made to clean when requested, which then required a baby wipe over to do the job fully. The cake crumbed table was ironically left as was, despite the request to please wipe it being made! The place looks in great need of a thorough deep clean. It’s not a days worth of dirt evident but a build up and something which falls way short of necessary hygiene standards. It’s not good enough to give a brief once over, shut up shop then reopen at 8am the next day. That’s how places end up being closed and rightfully! You have families coming to you regularly and no one wants to be made ill. Disappointing experience and won’t...
