JAQKS Chicken + Chips (Moseley) — Restaurant in Birmingham

When I walked in and got this bad vibe from a member of staff, I already knew it's going to be a terrible place to eat but I didn't let that get to me as they were getting plenty Uber eats & Deliveroo orders, thinking the food must be good.

Boy was I wrong, the service was none existence the staff serving didn't even greet or make any sort of conversation, not even crack a smile. (Get a better job bro, your not happy)

We ordered the king fillet burger meal, the bun was cold and very cheap and the fillet was like a chicken steak burger over cooked and hard, the fries were so greasy and soggy, which wasn't worth £8, however the spicy wings were tasty. Was told the drink dispenser wasn't working and was given warm drink cans. (Invest in a fridge)

The staff were incompetent and couldn't take simple orders and missed out few things, had to ask again to correct with no apologies or anything. I haven't had bad food in a very long time, but this just topped the scale I pray I don't get unwell. 🙏🏻

I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, no service or care in the world for the food they prep, quality of food is very poor and over priced for some plain, soggy fries, could definitely get better at...

Wow!!!!! Absolutely shocked and disgusted by the way I was treated just. I just visited the shop with a £20 voucher what was won as a part of a cancer charity evening. I was informed that the manager knew nothing of the voucher and the lady who served me said she sent the manager photos of the voucher. The voucher was valid until 31st December 2019 but was told it wasn't going to be accepted!!!!! I asked the lady to call the manager so I could speak to him directly as they were refusing to honour said voucher. Whilst she was on the phone I called the Birmingham Evening mail to get a reporter down as not honouring a voucher that was donated for a cancer charity in my eyes is absolutely disgusting!!!!!!! Amazingly all of a sudden the manager said he would honour the voucher.

If you are going to give vouchers out for charity and the vouchers are in date your staff shouldn't cause a scene and make the customer feel little!!!!!!

Disgraceful behaviour and I am afraid to say I doubt I will be using Jaqks again, i have only just moved to the area so the hunt for a chicken shop will continue!!!!!!

I was a fan of this place but not anymore I came here with my brother hungry at 10 Pm to be told there closing, when I pointed out it says there open till midnight on there door and 11 pm on there website enquiring why there closing the staff were bamboozled I also pointed out they have a counter full of chicken what are they going to do with that they advised they would be selling it tomorrow which I thought was absolutely disgusting. Please save urself the trouble and go the pepes chicken next door at least they are open until when they say they are and don’t just shut shop cause they can’t be bothered to look after the customers last time I’ll be coming here.
