Meals at @lisapann23 never disappoint. ❤️ They serve up authentic Malaysian food. Not aiming to overload their menu but to focus on the few dishes that encompass the essence of Malaysia flavour. However, they do rotate their menu with specials to highlight something special.
Last evening's dinner was a delight as usual and with the warm welcome of Lisa and the staff. Starting off with a few starters which are Karipap, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay and Karage Chicken piece.
The Mango Yum Mamuang salad was very refreshing, fresh and full of flavour. It was sweet, tangy and has a umami with a hint of chilli heat.
The Penang Hokkien Char - Stir Fried Egg noodles served with the thick soy sauce was excellent 👌🏻 (and so is the Char Kway Teow!))
The Nasi Lemak with Chicken Kari, paired with the sides of roasted peanuts, crispy salty anchovies and salad. The coconut rice is fragrant. The Chicken Kari has a nice "Oomph" of spice but not overly hot on the tastebuds.
The Nasi Goreng Kampung is beautifully presented with the fried egg & runny yolk. The taste of the fried rice is equally delightful and every mouthful is a joy.
The food picture i didn't post was the dessert - Pandan Cheese Cake. It was drizzled with Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar) and dessicated coconut. It was a perfect end to a lovely evening.
A trip to Lisa & Pann is a treat if you wish to try out some authentic South East Asian dishes. ❤️ It's definitely a must go restaurant if you are homesick and/or miss South East Asian food.

Read moreThis restaurant undoubtedly offers some of the most authentic Malaysian cuisine outside of Penang Island. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere transports you back to Penang. Having been away from Malaysia for almost a year due to my studies, nothing hits you more than a mouth-watering Nasi Lemak and thirst-quenching Calamansi. Their versions of these classics truly satisfied my cravings. The attention to detail in the décor, from the Batik cloth-covered tables to the Penang-style mugs used for Teh Tarik, evokes a strong sense of nostalgia for home.
The highlight of my meal was the chicken wings. The sauce was simply incredible—rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. It's hard to put into words just how delicious it was, but it left me wanting more with every bite. Whoever crafted this dish is truly a culinary genius. Furthermore, Lisa, the owner, is one of the friendliest owners I have ever met. Incredibly patient, she knows what food suits my taste better than I do, which is absolutely amazing.
In short, this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Malaysia and a dining experience that is both memorable...

I visited this restaurant recently and was genuinely blown away. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, one of the female chef kept checking on us throughout the meal, which made the whole experience extra special.
We started with the Thai mango salad, which was perfect for the hot weather, refreshing, tangy, and generously portioned. The peanut goes so well with the dressing!
I was so excited about the menu that I ended up ordering three different mains. One classic Nasi Goreng, a chicken curry rice with stir-fried vegetables, and Char Kway Teow. The curry sauce was packed with deep, the chicken thigh was covered in the rich sauce and rich flavour, the noodles were perfectly cooked, not greasy at all.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying the pandan cheesecake. It was incredibly smooth, with a light sweetness in the syrup that paired beautifully with the shredded coconut. Honestly I could eat...
