Mamoosh Grill House — Restaurant in Birmingham

I am writing to express our deep dissatisfaction, disappointment and frustration regarding our recent experience at Mamoosh Grill House. I visited your restaurant with a friend, and unfortunately, we had a horrible experience that I feel compelled to share with you.

After enjoying our meal, we requested food containers to take the remaining food home. To our surprise, it took over 20 minutes and three reminders to receive the containers. This delay was already quite frustrating, but what made the situation worse was the owner's peculiar body language when we made the request. It became apparent that he was reluctant to provide us with the containers because he preferred to feed his staff with the leftover food. This resistance and lack of professionalism were highly disappointing.

When we finally received the containers, they were not even proper containers but bagasse kebab boxes. It was evident that there were other options available for containers, yet we were given these subpar alternatives. Furthermore, the staff member who handed us the containers did so in a disrespectful manner, almost throwing them at us. This lack of courtesy and disrespect towards customers is unacceptable.

As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and receive prompt and courteous service. Unfortunately, my experience at Mamoosh Grill House fell far short of these expectations.

I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure that future customers do not have to endure such a disappointing experience.

However, On our second visit, we encountered further issues that have left us extremely disappointed and concerned.

Firstly, it took an excessive amount of time for our food to be prepared. Despite being regular customers, it took over 40 minutes and four reminders for our food to be ready, while other customers received their orders in less than 10 minutes. This delay was particularly frustrating, especially considering the number of staff members present. Additionally, obtaining side dishes took an unnecessarily long time, even after multiple reminders.

Furthermore, we found it peculiar that the staff at Mamoosh Grill House seemed overly eager to collect our leftover food as soon as possible. On several occasions, we had to remind them that we had not finished eating yet. This behavior raises questions about the use of leftover food, whether it is being used to feed subsequent customers or the staff members themselves.

In terms of pricing, we feel that the prices at Mamoosh Grill House are exorbitant and do not align with the quality and service provided. We believe that the prices charged are unjustifiably high.

Lastly, I must bring to your attention a concerning incident regarding hygiene. During our visit, we discovered a small insect inside the rice dish. This discovery is deeply troubling and raises serious concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the restaurant.

As customers, we expect prompt service, reasonable pricing, and a high standard of hygiene. Unfortunately, our experiences at Mamoosh Grill House have fallen far short of these...

I must say that I had only heard of the place and neither been there myself or bought it for myself at any point. This place has been recommended by two different relatives and one of them has spoken very highly of the customer service on multiple occasions. One of these occasions being today where they returned with these massive platters and salads and breads and soups, meat, fish and sides! Let’s just say we were very happy and appreciative of the excellent quality food and the very reasonable prices that I’m hearing of.

I hope for your continued success as a business based on other people’s positive comments and my actual experience.

On a side note, my two family members featured in the background of the images somewhere were talking about the apple salad and enquiring what was in it. They really enjoyed it and I liked it too.

The kebab shop/restaurant it is one of the few that impressed me in the Birmingham ish area. The food is tasty and good quality, the chicken sheesh is my favourite, for some reason this one has a perfect spices ballance. The reason that I give them 4 stars is because of the lack of rice or some garnish that should come with the meat. You get some salad and bread, but you need rice or potatoes, not a handfull of onions. The dolma is quite poor as well, too dry and sour, lacking of other flavour, but at least they do their own dolma, so I appreciate that. Another downsize is the lack of parking. It is literally a mission impossible to find a parking space in that crowded street. And to finish on a positive note, the restaurant is clean, the bathroom is clean and overall the restaurant has a nice design. I recommend...
