Absolutely disgusting service!

We thought we would try somewhere new, NEVER AGAIN FROM THIS PLACE! the food was fairly warm when it came, more importantly we experienced disgusting behaviour from them! The driver came back to my house after 45/50mins of delivering the order. Accusing us of giving him a fake note which he even checked before he left and it was fine! So this could have been from anywhere as he would have done other orders in that time! So how can this be proven it was ours?!, I was terrified as this is such a big association to make! You can’t just go round accusing people without proof! The shop could have just gave us a call straight after their driver came back from us but 45/50 mins later the driver just turns up?!, this could have been resolved professionally We would have happily made the payment AGAIN if they contacted us straight away and if it was our error. Instead the driver comes back unexpectedly, shouting and being aggressive to us baring in mind there was only two females (one who has just given birth). I asked the driver to please move from my door as we felt harassed and threatened, he was also blocking me from closing my door! He wouldn’t move we have never experienced such behaviour from someone and never felt so scared. I had to call the shop myself as they couldn’t even bother contacting us at all, even when speaking to the manager who was very rude and inconsiderate didn’t help they just blamed us without any proof and told the driver to don’t come back until it’s sorted?! The main question is what would have happen if it didn’t get sorted if we didn’t pay again? Because anyone else probably wouldn’t have paid again without proof! But we felt threatened and violated to now think is someone going to turn up at our door if we don’t pay again, or me even writing this review? also with the statements he was throwing at us stating they are from Dudley road they don’t take sh*t from people. What is this even suppose to mean?! Who speaks to customers like this or anyone for that matter ?

I hope no one else experiences what we did especially when it’s just females ordering as we seem to be easy targets in this matter and to just blame us as we wasn’t taken seriously, because let’s face it this would have been dealt with differently if there was an male involved when the association was made and the driver definitely would not have acted the way he did!

Having eaten at sweet life both inside the restaurant and via takeaway, I can say that most of the desserts are lovely. The portion sizes are OK and they usually taste like whatever is advertised.

They have recently started providing hot food and I can't say the same about the food unfortunately.

First of all, the children's burger is advertised as a fillet burger but is a cheap steak burger. The adult meal portion sizes are tiny and the fries are often cold.

The loaded fries have a strange runny cheese on them and the spring onions aren't cut fine enough.

My friends ordered some of the "Jamaican" dishes - jerk chicken and mutton and I had to laugh when I tried it. The food was completely bland and tasted nothing like authentic Jamaican food. What is the obsession with Asia's and Jamaican culture and cuisine? They don't ever respect it enough to try and get it right.

I think maybe the restaurant should stick...

My experience at sweet life was abit concerning tbh. 1st of all when i entered the shop we realised they didn't accept card so we had to go all the way to capehill to go get some money. When we came back we took our order and sat back down. When we sat dow we found a table but what mostly concerned me was that the tables were NASTY like them druggies outside of sweetlife, there was hairs, some spiders and stuff. We waited for like 30 minutes to get our food. I got loaded fries with milkshake while the others got cake, slushie and a kinder waffle. Tbh my loaded fries were good but sooo limeyy! When i tried my sisters waffle it tasted harder than my math teacher teaching me! When i had the slushie with my sisters a few days later al 3 of us were sick, i even started vomiting, IT WAS LIKE HELL. Not to mention the slushiw place looked dirty, do better next time...
