Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Birmingham

This was such an awful experience, I'll tell you about it.

I walked into Pizza Hut on a Wednesday night with a couple of my friends and I asked for a table for 4. The staff lady said to me that she would get me the table and walked off and told us to wait here for about "a minute or two." Then about 5 minutes later, she comes back with a smirk on her face and tells us that there's "no more seats for a table of 4" and I said to her "so you're telling me that I've been waiting here with my friends for about 5 minutes on end and waiting for a table and then you come back with a smirk on your face just to tell us that "there's not a table for 4"? how dumb" then this bimbo replies "well soh-rry, if you've an attitude on your hands, you might as well just leave!" after that I asked to see her boss/the manager. She says "well what do you want him for?" I said "none of your bloody business, get him here now please" then another colleague comes over, finally a nice one for a change and asks if we're okay. I explained to him what had happened and then he said "table for 4, well there's been one over there for about 15 minutes and it's been free..." I had the glum look in my eyes. She was such a retarded member of staff. I finally asked the man if the manager was in the Pizza Hut restaurant and thank god he was, he bought him over and we told the manager what the idiot had done and he said "sorry about that, you can have 50% off all of your meals" after that I said "thanks but no thanks, I'd rather go to a restaurant where ALL staff are nice and can actually fit us with a table for 4 without leaving us hanging when there is actually a table for us and the staff aren't just plain dumb like this girl" after that we walked off and took the 50% off voucher with us and enjoyed a nice meal at Nando's, as usual, Nando's can always hook us up with a spot-on meal and great...

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a family dinner at Pizza Hut, and the overall experience left us with smiles on our faces. The service was top-notch, and one individual who truly stood out was Ben.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, Ben's warm and friendly demeanour made us feel welcome. He promptly guided us to our table with a genuine smile, setting a positive tone for the evening. I went to Pizza Hut at Star City Birmingham on 12 August, to find the place really busy and there seemed to be a buzz in the air which was great.

However, the service was a complete let down. I'm not a fan of Pizza Hut as I've found the quality of pizzas and food in general has diminished over the years. It was on the basis my eldest nephew (10) really wanted to go. The waitress that served us did not look well maintained - her presentation was poor. The Salmon pasta has been taken off the menu which is a real shame. The second waitress arrived moments later to take our orders to which we ordered with several mojitos. She kept pulling faces in disgust as she was repeating our order to which I responded - "are you not familiar with the drinks?" - she said "no, I'm from Leicester, but will bring your freaky drinks over. I won't make them but someone who knows how to will!" - she then walked off leaving us baffled! She didn't even bring crayons and colouring sheets for my younger nephew even when asked twice.

The food arrived warm! It didn't taste freshly baked - almost as if the dough base was warmed from frozen. The toppings were diabolical and as for the salad - disappointing. Onion rings were soggy and the cheesy fries were sloppy and sour. Nothing seemed fresh and where were the bread sticks? The salad area was in a complete mess (as expected) and the staff just seemed to have no direction. It was run by kids and what seemed to be managed by kids.

Never again - thought I'd give it a chance after 3-4 years but it's a shame nothing has improved. We walked away unsatisfied and...
