0 stars if I could I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent order from your Star City Mall outlet. I ordered two chicken tikka naan wraps and two samosas. However, one of the samosas was burnt black and completely inedible, which is highly disappointing given the expectations I had for quality.
I drove from shard end specifically to pick up this order, a round trip that cost me 25 minutes and additional fuel expenses. Receiving a burnt roasted samosa that had clearly been overcooked as in black like a coal was frustrating, especially as it seems it was noticed by the staff but still placed in my bag. I’ve attached a picture for your reference.
The tall Sikh lady took my order, working at the till appeared to be multitasking, which may have led to the samosa being burnt in the oven, but placing it in my bag despite its condition shows a lack of attention to customer service. Shambolic it's not about the £1.75 samosa and my fuel and time it's about lack of responsibility she should have thrown that samosa rather than putting it straight in my bag.
Given this experience, I would appreciate some form of compensation for the inconvenience, as the poor quality of my order and the time and effort invested in picking it up did not meet the standard I expect from Chaiwala. I need compensation for this I could have written email and sent pictures of your samosa to trading standards is this what you serve in your outlet. Negligence at its peak...
Read moreAt chaiwala Star city, I had specifically ordered a mango falooda, expecting a traditional dessert beverage with essential ingredients like ice cream and vermicelli. The drink I received was a warm mango-flavored milk with a cream topping, which was not a falooda. Despite attempting to clarify this issue with a staff member on three separate occasions, they were dismissive and unhelpful. During this time, I also observed another staff member engaged in a personal conversation, which contributed to an overall sense of unprofessionalism. The most concerning incident, however, involved a blind gentleman who asked for directions to a seat. A staff member pointed vaguely rather than providing clear, verbal instructions. This demonstrates a serious lapse in customer service and professional courtesy. I strongly believe staff would benefit from comprehensive training on both correct food and beverage preparation and, more importantly, basic customer interaction and etiquette. I am very disappointed with the quality of both the product and the service, and based on this experience, I will not...
Read moreChaiiwala turned out to be a delightful surprise for us, especially for our little boy. We popped in for a quick Chai Tea fix, something we'd been eager to try as avid fans of the drink. To our delight, it offered the most authentic flavour compared to all the Chai Teas we've sampled before, surpassing even our favourites from other major coffee chains. We've certainly found our new go-to tea spot!
Beyond the impeccable tea, the service was exceptional. The lady with glasses and a hijab—regrettably, we forgot to ask for her name—was incredibly accommodating. Not only was she friendly and welcoming, but she also took the time to interact with our son, which was truly heartwarming. To top it off, she even surprised him with a complimentary drink! It was a lovely gesture, especially on Valentine's Day. The whole experience left us feeling uplifted and definitely brightened our day.
Thank you so much, Chaiiwala, for the wonderful experience. We'll certainly be...
