I am very disappointed gutted I’m a person who supports small businesses and takeaways today I placed my order online with just eat as the original price was £50 there was like some sort of offer going on so I ordered the food during all the time there was no mention of any items being out of stock from the takeaway so I said to my wife to go collect it with my son the collection time was 18:05 so she went at 18:10 as she arrived at the takeaway she showed the order details as it was a online order the guy said to her give us 7 more minutes as your order is almost done at that time he did not mention anything about the items being missing or out of stock. We ordered a party bucket and 6 milkshakes when the 7 minutes passed again she asked them how long they guy replied just a moment it’s getting ready again no mention of anything out of stock or not available those 7 minutes turned into 45 minutes and I called her asked why is it taking so long her reply was they are still prepping the food so I said to her to go as the guy again that where is our food she went up to them and asked them is my food ready now and his reply was yes just coming he gave her the party bucket and 4 milkshakes he said that’s all we have she said to them but we ordered 6 milkshakes at that time he did not apologise for first of all being so late and secondly for missing items so she called me back that’s what were saying she said that the guy said for the two shakes you can claim it from just eat I said to her how come they made you wait for so long and can I speak to the guy she said I will pass the phone to him so I said to him first of all my brother the collection is 15 minutes he said to me that is the just eat Time I said to him but again this shouldn’t take 45 minutes to collect the food again there was nothing mentioned of anything not available while I was placing my order online which I already paid his reply was no you paid to just eat not to us then he himself said it I’m not wasting your or your family’s time he said to me I told your wife if she wants to wait mind you that my wife had been waiting for 45 minutes and he wants her to wait again for the two milkshakes so I said to my wife to leave everything and come back and I’m not getting a refund either I advice everybody to not go to these thugs as they are rude people and he did not mention about being sorry he raised his voice and said you will not get a refund if you leave. Once again apologise or anything instead of that Just see the owners respond absolutely disgusting also whatever I mention regarding the issue with the order, he’s not even said anything about that instead of that you start bullying me by simply with these words absolutely disgusting. I would say again I will request all my brothers and sisters stop going there. Also is accusing me of not supporting the small businesses that’s disgusting just because I question about the customer service and the way he behaved he did not like that also, his claim that if I was honest in my words that I support Small businesses I should take that food by reply to this is that if I’m not being honest I should not give you the five star this my Proof Although the way you love behaved, it was absolutely disgusting and still your reply is not helpful at all as a businessman. This is hands down one of the worst takeaways I’ve dealt with. We waited over 90 minutes for food that never even showed up. No update, no call — nothing. Tried calling and the person on the phone was rude, couldn’t explain a thing, and clearly didn’t care. Complete waste of time and money.
Avoid Rios Peri Peri Sparkhill unless you enjoy being ignored and going hungry. Total joke of a business.

I understand that you use Just Eat drivers, but the issue wasn’t just with the delivery — it was also how your staff handled the situation. The person I spoke to at the shop clearly didn’t know what he was talking about, and when someone else took over, they just said, “What should I do?” and told me to collect the order myself, even though I had paid for delivery.
When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the shop was closing and that I’d have to sort it out on my own. No one offered to help, cancel the order, or give proper advice. That’s not acceptable.
